I'm not sure I trust coconut battery or what the mac says about batteries.

I have a 4 yr old macbook with a 3yr old battery (>800 cycles), and cocounut tells me I have more capacity now then when the battery was new:

PS how do you guys embed pictures? Would I need to upload it to a website first and link to it?
PPS It still does last a long time! I regularly discharge and fully charge.

Wow, how'd you manage that!

Here is what happened to me. I got my new MBP and decided I had to calibrate the battery. Before calibration I had a few hundred mah's over what the battery told me was "stock" capacity.

I went and calibrated and drained the battery as fast as I could then let it sit 8 hours and recharged.

When I checked the capacity, it was lower then what I started with  I was down to 97%.

Instead of freaking out I just used it normally for a few days, and then took it to just do some web surfing, forum reading for about 3-4 hours. This drained the battery slowly.

The next day I charged it and was back to over 100% :)

Some times ya just need to use the damn laptop and stop worrying about specs/thresholds.

My MBP is almost 2 years old, 500+ cycles, and still at 91%. If your battery continues to drop, take it in and get a replacement. Otherwise, get over it... It's fine... :D

You drove a new car off the lot. It got its first scratch. There are bigger things to worry about.

... and cases to prevent scratches, etc. :)

Cases/KB Protectors can come in handy when you have children under 3 that raid your office looking for tape/pens/paper on occasion.

You don't even want to know what happened with 16oz of Apple Juice several years back when I got my first Ti MacBook and left it on the living room table for 2 minutes while I went to the bathroom.

It's only been a month&half with my MBP 13". Coconut battery claims my MBP is 3 months old now (obviously manufactured 2 months prior to my purchase). Currently I have 8 cycles. 2 calibrations (one on first day, and one yesterday). It went from 98%-97%. Obviously this isn't a big jump, and I know i'm just being paranoid.
Yes, you're being paranoid. That's similar to someone freaking out because driving their car causes tires to wear down or their gas tank to deplete. There is no "solution" because there is no problem. It's perfectly normal.

People really need to read the threads/guides pinned at the top. The FAQ is linked there.
