Here's my powerbook desktop for may... and probably june 
I wish there was a black powerbook or ibook icon though - the silver one I have is too bright. That, or a turntable or nice vinyl icon would be nice... I have some vinyl record icons but their not spiffy enough, lol

The iTunes bar is the thing in the middle, and iTunes Companion is the one on the bottom left.

As for Icons. I'm not sure which first external drive you talking about, if you talking about LaCie Icons they getting installed when you connect LaCie hard drive as for the rest you can get them at http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/index.php?sort=date
You will also need progam called CandyBar to replace your stock icons, but I assume you already know this.
