Your problem with Movist may be because Apple does not allow other players to play bought stuff, if you import to your library a movie or tv show, Movist does recognize them.
I haven't tried with bought stuff tough.

Changed the menu bar to black. also added geektool and bowtie.

I've often thought of doing the black menubar, but it seems like a pain to change all the menubar icons to white too. I switch themes like every other day in Magnifique anyway, lol.
