I'm always amazed at the love of Mario on these threads. For a character almost 30 yrs old, his staying power is incredible. I guess it says a lot about why Sega is gone (sort of) and you never see Sonic around; Mario, though, almost always appears in some shape or form on the wallpaper threads.

I needed to change it up. I doubt it will last till lunch though. This is a picture I took while in Hawaii a couple years ago. This is on the Big Island up near Wialea, it's where we stayed. Also, new dock and Bowtie theme.

I LOVE Mario!! I'm 35 years old but I see Mario and I go wild. WILD!!

My first experience of Mario was back in the early 80's with arcade Donkey Kong, Game & Watches, and the NES.

Some of the best times of my life was spent playing Mario games. So I still celebrate the character today by having wallpapers of him too!!

I looked back at my post, and I didn't mean for there to be a negative tone. I'm w/ you re: Mario. Each time I'm home I look AGAIN for my SNES so that I can go back and play some Super Mario World. I'm ready for our kids to be to the point where I can introduce them to Mario so that I can play it again, too!

New one. I'm debating if I should keep GeekTool....

My 'new' 2006 Mac Pro. Got it to pretty much how I like it.

Hey! A fellow Stephen Lynch fan!

Got into his stuff by seeing him on Comedy Central about 18 months or so ago here in the UK, then by following him on YouTube. I seen him last year at the Edinburgh Festival, and he was absolutely superb. Hadn't laughed so much in ages.

:D

Here is my desktop, with some little tweaks to create a more "custom" feel.

Changes:

Nebula wallpaper at native resolution of 1680 x 1050.

Apple Logo "pod drive" icon to replace the default Macintosh HD icon.

An iPod touch desktop icon, even though the touch doesn't show on the desktop I still like to see my iPod there. And, if it's not on me then it's connected to my iMac.

Bowtie installed using "Wet Floor" theme.

Adium installed and utilising the "Eclipse" theme giving a minimal appearance and showing only contacts who appear online. I have also installed the "Blackened" message theme (not shown) to compliment this theme. I will never use Messenger by Microsoft for the Mac again.

Custom Adium dock icon installed, which can be seen furthest right before the Stack split. This icon is animated and glows from blue to orange and the word "online" changes to "new IM" when someone sends you a message. A very professional looking icon for the dock.

Replaced the default gray, square edged dock with a black glass effect dock with rounded edges. I find the black glass effect makes your icons appear sharper, but it could just be my eyes.
