MBA 2020 - Can't decide on color option!

I am ready to pull the trigger and order i5/16Gb RAM/256Gb SSD new MacBook Air 2020.
But What I can't choose is the color option.
Now I have OG retina MBP, which is obviously in silver grey color. I want to try new Cosmo Black, but
I am afraid of darker finish would make dirt and sweat from hands to look more prominent.
Can someone with the same color option of 2018/2019 models comment on this?
Also, sounds a lil bit crazy, but I like the look of golden one. Is actually 2020 model has slightly thin shade of gold color?
 
I had originally ordered the Silver, because.. everybody loves the Space Gray for some reason, and I wanted to be a bit different.. My work provided laptop is a MBP 13 Space Gray..

The Gold one just seemed to attention grabbing for my low-key self.

But, as I was cancelling/re-ordering after reconsidering specs (from i7/16/1 to i5/16/256), I mistakenly chose Space Gray, which is the default on the website.

So, now I am resigned to the fact that I am getting a Space Gray.

## sorry for the useless comment. I like the "bosozoku" HN btw.

I just ordered a Space Grey, i5, 256GB version, it matches my USB hub and iPhone.
 
Ever since they went to black bezels, the space grey has seemed more attractive to me than silver because there's less contrast between the display and the body. I still love my silver 11" MBA, but the new MBA I just ordered is in space grey to match the last MBP I bought.

So, I tried calling them (here in Japan) and got the "lines are busy right now, please call back at a later time... CLICK (hang-up tone..)" message, which I personally hate more than being put on hold..

.. and with that, I am now double resigned to the fact that I am getting a Space Gray ;)

Thanks for letting me confirm my cosmic attachment to Space Gray Apple products!

I went for silver.

I've had macbooks for a decade and have silver peripherals (e.g., trackpad, keyboard, superdrive, etc.). Macbooks are supposed to be silver.

"Gold" is for gangster wannabes and space grey is for desktops, watches and phones.



edit:
Looks like space grey and other non-natural aluminium colours scratch to reveal the natural aluminium colour underneath.

Screw that.

Space gray will be my choice. Just as with TVs, I always get the ones with black bezels; they fade away and make the screen's colors seem more vivid.

Silver, as on my current MBA, is distracting; glittery; in your face obvious. At least, whenever I think about it.

One gets used to the colors after all and simply concentrate on their work, reading, writing, or video watching!

P.S. All this is idiosyncratic for sure. I've edited the post slightly to make clear I was referring to what I prefer, get, and respond to!

I was going to get space grey, but after seeing the silver version, I just love the nostalgia of the silver so I'll likely get mine in silver.
 
My early 2014 11" macbook air is silver (and still seems to be working fine!) but I've chose Space grey for my new 2020 macbook air.

In the end I have ordered Silver! Tried to use friend's space grey 2017 MBP and it picks fingerprints and oils from hands massively. So silver is the way to go

I am also in Tokyo, close to the Budoh-kan.. where there's a ton of people out and about (scary compared to what's going on in RoW)..

Happy that you got the Silver. I tried calling Apple again after my previous post, and after a 20 minute hold .. was told that it cannot be done without cancel/reorder .. at least here in Japan.

So, for the last time.. I am now super resigned to the fact that I am getting a Space Gray.. hopefully soon.😝
 
Opted for silver in the end. I was always a space grey person with the iPhone and iPad as the glass bevels were black rather than white with the silver. They have since changed that now - iPad now has black glass bevels even with silver option And iPhone doesn’t have anymore bevels. So silver it is - classic.

My order of preference is gold, silver then space gray. Gold is stunning and silver is classic.
 
Classic silver, simple and understated - well, save for that shiny Apple logo, but I digress.

I’ve only ever owned a 2012 iMac and MacBook Pro and always liked the space grey, but since it shows scratches and smudges more easily I figured meh. Otherwise would have picked gold but it’s too flashy and to my eyes the trackpad colour sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of that model. Almost feel like it doesn’t match like it should.
