As expected, the gain with the 8th core (61947 - 57950 = 3997) is way less than the average of the 7 cores (57950/7 = 8278).

8 core gpu all the way. I have owned (2) 8 core GPU Air M1‘s. Gaming performance makes it all worth it.

Hi,

I tend to keep my macs for six or seven years. With that in mind when I ordered my M1 MBA last month, I went with the 8 GPU. I was going to get 512 GB storage anyway, so for an extra $100 CAD, it seemed to be worth it to me, at least.

You realise that you can order the 7GPU Core MBA in every configuration as the eight core.

Hi,

yeah, I was considering the 7 gpu 512 GB, build to order configuration, But decided that since I was going to be keeping the things for five years plus, the extra core make make more of a difference down the road.
