I think everyone is getting way too worked up about this. This has been confirmed to be the base model 13". Even if these were the only updates, lightpeak + sandy bridge in one update is already quite a nice bump. Add to the fact that the 13" has the 2410M processor.

Let's look at the implications here. That processor is a 35W processor. This suggests that the 15" and 17" might be able to use 45W which means the QC processors might actually come for MBPs!

get your eyes checked.

*sigh* every kid wants to think they're a photoshop pro.

LOL maybe an apple insider drew this ahah your funny kid... what it there to photoshop in that picture? There is nothing to do in that area you refer to its exactly the same as the latest 13" model but as I just said about the other one a lightning bolt

brothers? brokeback mountain partners? 2YGV Bert and Ernie? so bruuuuuno.

Quite frankly, I find the 1200x800 resolution and the GPU very disappointing even for the entry $1149 MBP. I mean, considering the MBA comes by default with 1440x900 already, how can they possibly justify a worse screen on their "Pro" line?

If these are the final specs, it's WAY overpriced for a $1149 laptop... this is 2011 already!

The high end $1449 better come with a better resolution and GPU, or I wont be able to justify the purchase :( I REALLY need a portable powerhouse, damn it!

Im so glad i didnt wait. These are only going to be marginally faster than the older MBP's.

Stupid apple charging thousands for old slow hardware. I got my MBP for $800, and couldnt justify spending any more on it. :)

have to say that i'm quite disappointed with the integrated intel hd, however, having extra computing power is a plus.
as a programmer, i don't really need much of a graphic card to do anything beside casual gaming sometimes, but of course, I expected some more out of the new update of the MBP.
I actually wanted to buy a new MBP 13'' for mobility but might change my mind and go for a 15 now instead depending how things will look for the high-end version of the 13''
