Hey guys, had a look on amazon UK, and found that they're only expecting stock in 1-2 months!! Maybe this is an estimate of when the new 'Pros will be coming out?

What do you guys think??

Here's some photographic evidence....

No. As you can see on the same page, the seller is eXpansys UK Ltd, not Amazon. Amazon is merely the go-between. That is not any indication of Apple's product cycles.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Macbook Pro 13 is usually stocked and sold by Amazon. You can also see that you can purchase directly from amazon, but they're just out of stock for 1-2 months, which suggests they're only getting the new Macbook Pros, when they're expected to be released in 1-2 months...

Amazon US stock also running low, lets see what happens there...

It's still not any indication of Apple's new product cycle. Stores frequently run low on inventory and restock, independent of manufacturers' release of new products. It's not a trustworthy indication of anything, except the anticipated restocking.

Yes, but the question has to be asked why only restock in 2 months time? maybe apple is ramping down the production of the current model?

What do you want me to say? Yes, Apple is definitely coming out with new notebook models exactly 2 months from today, and all current notebooks will be discontinued on that day. Feel better?

You asked what we think. I told you. Why ask, if you've already made up your mind and are just going to argue with those who respond?

Yes, i do feel better :)

If an update was really coming, I'd expect all models of the MBP to start going out of stock.

Thread starter made this thread with their mind set on the fact that new product is coming sooner rather than later and does not want to be convinced otherwise  :p

The question, "What do you guys think??" seems to be more rhetorical than anything else...

GGJ pretty nailed what I was originally going to comment on in this thread....but the bottom line is that we'll see the product updates/refreshes when we see them...it's futile to speculate based on what is/is not in stock from around the world...:)

As I can remember from the last refresh amazon does not seem to be an indicator for an upcoming refresh.

availability on amazon.co.uk (sold and delivered by amazon) for 13": 1-2 months
availability on amazon.de (sold and delivered by amazon) for 13": 21.January

lmao.

I don't think stocks are running low. I work in the warehouse of a Currys/PC World here in the UK, and on our last delivery we received around 60 13" MBP's, compared to the five or six we usually receive.

It's most probably an error on the part of the central depot, or could they be simply getting rid of them to make room for new models? I will add that there is no discount on these models, we've just got a ****-tonne of them. :p

Dispatched within 1 or 2 months, means they ship it within 1 or 2 months.

It means Amazon is running low on stock NOW and not in 2 months time.

To me it either means.

1) Amazon is on purpose keeping their stock low on the 13" MBP low as they expect more competition from Sandy Bridge notebooks while the 13" MBP is still on C2D with also the MBA stealing away MBP 13" sales.
2) X-mas took out alot of their stock and they recieve new 13" MBP from Apple within 1 or 2 months which they can ship to customers again.

Maybe it's just the first signs of the demise of the 13" MBP, and no indication of a new release at all. Just my own little conspiracy theory I just made up right now.
