updated to 15.6, no more issue

It solved the problem for me as well, but the ram usage of the _windowserver process was increased to use a GB, although that's better than not being able to suspend and wake up the MBP
 
Note that in addition to occasional crash/reboots, I experience garbage on my monitors after sleep/wake cycle.
 
15.6 fixed it for me - thankfully! Allthough it's very slow to start up from sleep, I'll take that over my old crashes any day.
 
No more crashes on wake from sleep for me either. I am getting crashes when trying to shutdown, but it appears unrelated to this.
