My MBP 16 doesn't like to wake up from sleep when connected to external displays. Called Apple support, sent them the capture logs and a screen test. They called back today and they want it back. Have to pick up a replacement tomorrow.

Not quite. I get some lag, but I can't get graphics back at all. Have to unplug my dock (worked with a 15 before I returned it). Sometimes need to reboot.

Which dock are (were) you using?
What monitor, connection type, and resolution?

Caldigit MiniDock, Acer R271's over HDMI resolution's whatever the 'best for r271' is. looks like 1920x1080. Still have the dock, returned the MBP 15 for the 16.

Dang. I was interested in running two scaled 4k monitors off a CalDigit Mini, but both through DisplayPort.

Apple wants the machine back to do a post mortem on, is sending me back to the store to get a new one. I'll post back if it works right on the new machine.
