MBP 2011 No Flash

    I'm trying to play the thunderbolt video that is on the front page of MR but it's telling me "missing plug in". The video is flash I think. I didn't know that even the MBPs don't ship with flash.

    I believe I read that when the Macbook Air's came out they didn't have Flash installed. I guess that's the case with the Macbook Pros?

    This has been the case since the new MacBook Airs started shipping. Just download it from Adobe.

    Apple did that because the included version of Flash was rarely the latest version, thus it was more vulnerable. By not pre-installing it, the end-user will get the latest and most secure version of Flash.

    I had to install flash yesterday. No big deal at all, and I think it is a smart move.
