I've had my 13" MBP for 2 months now and the 7 hour battery has been nothing but a benefit so far. However, I've noticed that the battery isn't showing the 7 or even the 6 hours mark anymore at 100% charge. My battery health is still at 100% and restarting the MBP hasn't helped fix this problem either.

Any ideas why this is so?

THe 7 hours is a representation at best case scenario. Real world gets you 4-5 hours.

I get 3:30 hrs on my 5hr rated battery, not bad.

Well if you keep the settings consistent, the amps out per hr calculation is pretty accurate. So if you stabilized the computer and retained the same settings and maybe 5-10 minutes afterwards kept the timer, it should be what it predicts. I would get 7:30 on my battery icon calculation, and I would get that amount days on end.

what am I doing worng here?

You are charging your battery wrong and hence killing it.

Do this for a week and watch your battery recover:

1. Use laptop until it hits 7-5% battery power left.
2. Recharge to a 100% state and leave it there for the remaining day
3. Use next day until you reach 5-7%
4. Repeat step 2-3.
