Hey fellas.

So I switched from a MBA 2018 to MBP M1 and I am loving the new experience (except the bloody touch bar).
Anyways my old MBA when I didn't use if for lets say 5-10 minutes turned off the screen and after touching the Touch ID sensor it woke up and logged in.
This mostly doesn't happen on the M1 machine. Any ideas why? I have to press a button and after that touch the sensor to log in. It does what its supposed to lets say 1 out of 10 times.
Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Oh thank you. It was 5 minutes. Guess the setting on my previous machine was higher, will give it a try.

In the middle of several books.

The default is 5 minutes. I set mine to "immediately." If that doesn't solve your problem, peruse some of the M1 problem threads, as some people are experiencing problems with Touch ID after their M1 has been asleep.

This thread is a good example.
