Part of it is obviously what they think people will buy. But they are still trying to maintain their huge markup along with a target msrp, which is why you don't see the same video cards that Dell or HP put in. Granted they don't usually add stuff that people won't use. They've generally erred on the conservative side.

I mostly agree with this. I think that the choice of GPU has been about a price/performance balance. The chassis of the MBP is also smaller than the average HP or Dell as well. Gaming has never been a priority either.

do you guys think apple shouldve added light scribe?

For god's sake... does anyone actually use light scribe anymore? Or optical media for that matter? Take the few users that do and then consider that macs only make up what... 5 percent of the market... then you have a small and pitiful number.

Okay. So we all know the mbp is great. But it can get better. A lot better. So first of all this is the PRO version so it needs to jam every possible thing into it. Give me some ideas on what should be added to it.

If you really liked Apple, you would accept anything they offer, even it doesn't work. To suggest a new feature or to include something that every other manufacturer offers is blasphemy. This would make you a hater and a troll and soon you will have other members here telling you to leave and go to another forum.

Who says they design products based upon what is said here? Just because something is requested on a website and not included in a Mac doesn't mean they aren't here reading. I just stated they keep tabs on Apple-related websites, that's all. For all we know they have implemented ideas that were posted here first.

Believe me, with guys like Ive at the office, they don't need feedback from some forum users.
