Ive got a Penryn 2.4 Blackbook

And I want to get a MBP - As much as I enjoy the MB, the screen size is too small and even though I don't play games, I find myself missing the graphics card with some programs.

If you can afford it, get the MBP or better yet, wait for a month or so when they release the new ones.

Go for the MBP, I have a 17 and 15". I decided I wanted smaller so sold the 15 and got a macbook, a week later it was getting picked up by apple and I got a base 15" again. I am so glad I did. The screen bugged the hell out of me, the plastic feel and the back lit key board is a god send for me. Popped it open dropped in a 320 HD and gigs ram and it hits the right note.

Since you already have a Mac Pro, go for the MacBook. It doesn't sound to me like you need the power when you're traveling, so don't waste your money. The new MBs are awesome and very fast.

If you're considering needs then get the MB it'll suffice since you have the Mac Pro to do heavy lifting

If you're considering wants then get the MBP.

I personally have found the MBPs to significantly hot and borderline uncomfortable to use on the lap when pushing them. I guess its the fact that the Aluminum acts as a heat sink. On the other hand the macbooks have been more than bearable even when maxed out

I also think multitouch is overrated, i played with it recently and it was 'ok' but its a feature i wouldn't miss if it were absent and IMHO shouldn't be a decision buying factor its a bonus-gimmick.

The MBP will give you peace of mind because it doesn't sacrifice anything. The macbooks on the other hand sacrifice GPU, Backlit Keyboard, LED screen, FW 800, Express card slot etc

However the macbooks more than hold their own performance wise compared to the MBPs. Its up to you. I personally like my blackbook but i only have it because its a secondary computer (my iMac does the heavy lifting, i wouldn't get one as a primary computer
