Did you bring it into an Apple Store, or ship it?

well I brought it in but they said because there were multiple problems they were going to ship it to a repair depot. I would have put my original ram back in but I sold it a long time ago to help offset the cost of the new ram.

I hope It all works out.. I am going through the same thing with my MBP (HD failing, and its only 5 weeks old)! And on top of it all Applecare is basically calling me a liar, and when I called today they basically hung up on me saying
"Technically we arent even open right now" ugh!

really? why are they calling you a liar? that sucks. I'm probably just going to call the applecare line I guess.

I don't think they do any hardware repairs at Apple Stores but I could be wrong. Your service record should be available to either the store where you brought it, or to customer service if you call. Probably either one can make a notation on your record.

great, I'll start by calling the store.

well, out of the 3 calls i had to place yesterday, they all went okay. they are going to ship me new disks, acting like that is the only issue.

i called today saying i would be much happier with a new machine and they basically said that my machine just needs a new leopard disk (how does that explain kernal panics and random apps quitting/shutdowns?) and im trying to get a new computer out of the deal..

so I called apple and they said that it didn't matter, and that they'd just ship 3rd party ram in a bag with the computer.

It says "shipment to apple repair center pending" btw, can't wait to get my mbp back! I hope I get an upgrade, or better yet, not get an upgrade, wait a year, have something else go wrong, and get a new redesigned mbp. :D

fixed... they replaced the graphics card for the kernel panics issues, they also replaced the sd and the lcd.

thanks for all the support guys :D it was still under the one year warranty, anthough I bought applecare

Ok, the problems are back, I'm going to ask for a new computer, this is kind of ridiculous. We'll see.

This is just a suggestion, but you might have a faulty logic board. If you are getting a lot of kernel panics, and the machine is going very slow, it could mean, it's reaching the end of it's life.

yes, I was thinking that was the logic board.
