gr8tfly macrumors 603 May 14, 2009 #2 That wasn't normal behavior in 10.5.6 - are you sure you were able to do this? When the ambient lighting is above a certain level, the keyboard backlight won't come on. That's been the case since Tiger, and on PowerBooks.
