Well, it's a generally accepted made up plural form.

Like the kind of things you'd find listed in Urban Dictionary.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's made up.

Forum is a Latin word, and because of that I choose to use the Latin plural form.

"Forums" is also considered a grammatically correct plural.

Hmm…ok. You've got me there. I always assumed it was a geek made up word, but I guess not.

Since everyone is sharing their internet identity legacies, mine started in 2nd grade ('07) when I signed up for an MSN email, thus I used an email address that I still have. However, my email address has devolved from being my internet name. Gamer9430 was created when I was trying to find a means to use on Xbox Live when I got my XB360 in 2010. Since then, everything I do online, I am known as Gamer9430 on just about everything, Gamer_9430 on steam and some back up accounts, and for my public Twitter and Instagram, Gamer9430_2. On YouTube I am known as 9430Network, but I still refer to myself as gamer9430. The origin of the name is that I liked gaming, so I put gamer in, then I needed some numbers since Gamer had long been take, so I though of my favorite NJ Devils (hockey) players numbers, thus being 9 for the ex-devil Zach Parise, 4 for retired Devil Scotty Stevens, and 30 for the best goalie to play the game, Martin Brodeur. Thus, Gamer9430 was born. I keep the same name on everything because that is who I am. I try to keep a clean record on my name for obvious reasons because if one part of my name gets ruined, the entire name as a whole can get ruined.

That is the story of where the name "Gamer9430" came from.

So the forums.macrumors.com link has been wrong all this time?

We should recommend it be changed to fora.macrumors.com

Where did the internet begin for me? AOL 3.1. For you youngin's who weren't around back then, this is all you need to know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dudJjUU9Nhs&spfreload=10

Eventually that turned into Netscape Navigator and AIM. I remember the last time i had iChat open... I had hundreds and hundreds of buddies. In the prime days, I would have dozens and dozens of buddies online. By the time I stopped using it there were regularly 15-25 people online by the time. One day I opened it up months or years later and ONE person was logged on. It was a sad day in my heart. I will never forget it. Text messaging ruined everything!*

I'll do you one better. My first internet experience was with AOL 2.5.

I've actually been really tempted to find an old copy of the Mac version and try connecting to AOL with one of my G4s.

As far as AIM-I think I actually eventually "hid" my online status because I had people on my "friend" list who expected my full, undivided attention when they were having a conversation with me over IM and often I was on the internet to do things other than talk to people. As all the people I had on my friend list were people I knew in real life(primarily classmates) I didn't want to take them off. Perhaps that's just me being a curmudgeon, but I had more than one Ebay snipe messed up by an IM and getting an "are you ignoring me?" message when I hadn't responded in the past 30 seconds

LOL THAT IS SO FUNNY! :p

He posted another one :p

I wonder who he is... Obviously someone who got banned or locked and got mad.

Ok I think we've had enough of this thread... lets not get into trouble :p
I never made another account while on timeout..... I cannot view those threads they dont exist. If i made another account on Time-Out I'd be banned obviously.
Ok so lets get this train back on the rail... but is there still a rail to get back on to? Has the question already been answered? There was an answer but has it satisfied the OP? But matthew is locked so he cannot reply or resolve this... so uh what do we do? I guess we just abandon the thread...
Yes my question was answered
Well not only in this thread... every thread Matthew makes has been farked up and completely derailed with you bashing Matthew because he said something stupid... Really it's getting ridiculous you people.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Magnets, no matter how strong or weak you perceive them, in direct contact with a hard drive is an atrocious idea. Let's not forget that the data is stored magnetically and that data can be corrected by weak environmental/cosmic electromagnetic disturbances. Magnets are literally the worst decision in my book. Gum or fecal matter at least wouldn't run the potential of destroying your data.

I don't think putting a 6th hard drive above the PSU is a great idea either, just knowing how much heat these things create. I second the opinion of spending $50 or so on a 1TB drive or finding one on craigslist for a few bucks.

I would suggest your best bet is removing one of your numerous hard drives and trying to put it where you want it to go. I'd imagine most people don't know the measurements off the top of their heads.

If it's too weak to hold a wireless receiver why would you use it to hold a Hard Drive? I imagine proximity to the hard drive and length of stay is something you might also want to consider.
good point thanks
Hey MatthewLTL is in time-out again... I didn't see him do anything wrong... If anything, you all people did because you completely screwed up each of his threads by derailing it extremely off-topic and bashing him... so why is he punished?

AGREED!
