Wynton Marsalis tunes

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what tunes Wynton Marsalis were playing at yesterday's media event and if they are available on iTunes (I guess they should be)?

Here's a very good primer on H.264 and how the quality compares to TV. Skim through to get to the good parts.

It's not the compression quality that counts in this case, it is the resolution.

Apple is currently limiting resolution to 320X240. This is about half the resolution of standard TV 480i. (~640x480 interlaced).

So no mater how good the final signal is, when it is displayed on a larger screen, say 36", it will look pixelated.

Of course one technolgy improves Apple may offer higher res video.

Tivo's Death? WTF?

Front Row=TiVo's death. Finally sold TiVo stock and added to my AAPL stock. This is gonna be HUGE!

OK, so tell me how this is a Tivo killer? It doesn't record TV which is Tivo's primary function. Perhaps if you add EyeTV, but then how do you record digital cable? What about recording HD stations?

Maybe this is a CenterStage killer, but that's about all.

If you watched Job's presentation you will note toward the end he says :

"Wait till you see the rest of the stuff we have for the holiday season"

Most folks have overlooked this little statement.

I'm praying on that statement :)

Eitherway my pocketbook has been waiting for a PB since August. heh.

In terms of the evolution of the new video ipod, I think Adam Curry put it best:

What is it called? Is this called an iPod? Does it have a separate sub-name like the iPod Nano? Does it have any...is it just the iPod? Hmm. it just says 'The New iPod'.

Okay.

Porn.

Porn is gonna be huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge.

Question

Very very sorry if this has been answered in the 255 responses to date, but is there a way to play a movie downloaded from iTunes on a pre-Panther Mac?
