What rock have you been under. its all over the net. Every where one turns its iphone this or iphone that. I'm a relative noob and I can't get away from it.

Believe it or not, most consumers don't read Digg, Engadget, Gizmodo, or MacRumors. Until news of the launch is all over CNN, Fox, and USA Today, it's not anything like the hype of last year.

I guess my local Tampa TV NBC news station doesn't count then. They were hyping it the other night. To the effect there was a shortage of iPhones and that WWDC was coming up and Apple is known for releasing new tech at such events. Makes you go HMMMMMMMMMMM.

i haven't really heard anything in the san diego area. that doesn't mean nothing as been said on the new about it. i just if it has i haven't seen it or heard it.

Sounds good; normally I would go to the Emeryville, CA store, but I like the BART ride to the City and the Apple Store is just around the corner from the BART stop at Montgomery. Hope to see you there.

Cool. The BART station you want is Powell though.

I dont get it, why are you guys going to the apple store do they show the keynote live in the stores?

I'm sure they are going to close and re-open at 6pm like they do with big releases so going in to wait for the iphone is pointless. thats even if its released on the 9th in the first place. my friend who is a store manager at ATT told me the 15th but that might not have anything to do with apple, or he may be misinformed as i know store personel have no solid info.

Our Apple Store in Downtown San Francisco, California is a great place to hang out and shoot the **** with other iPhone Owners or Apple Product Owners, and drop-in on the workshops, get a latte, lunch at one of the hundreds of cafes/restaurants within walking distance. I guess it's a social thing, and one of those unique things about the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and San Francisco in particular. During MWSF '08, a bunch of us wandered over to the Apple Store, SF and just hung-out and downloaded 113 for the iPhone. You have to experience it! Remember, you are welcome to join us. (Many of us go to MWSF, but the WWDC sold out much faster than expected)
