I need help guys. My order has assigned carrier KUEHNE & NAGEL with carrier tracking number starting RTML but when I go to their page I tells me that it is incorrect number. Do you where or how to track it please?

All I can suggest is waiting for another 24 hrs or so. My carrier tracking number was updated after my unit had shipped from Apple so check again in another day or so.

Failing that give Apple a call ...

I also have a KUEHNE & NAGEL shipping number but cannot track it anywhere. Any tips appreciated ;)

Me too. Mine switched to showing as "UK distribution centre" as the carrier this afternoon, which switched to K&N at 5pm with a different reference code, then back to UK distribution centre this evening.

Not sure what's going on but I hope it arrives tomorrow. The estimated delivery date is showing today but it never arrived.

Well, although mine has been saying 'shipped' since Friday, I'm still seeing nothing. I rang Apple today to ask why I'm not getting any further action on the tracking page and they said that the 23" screen I ordered with the MacPro is holding things up!

That's ridiculous no? The screens should be two a penny, and ship within 2 days i you order them on their own. They've had almost a whole month to put one aside for me. Anyone else think that it's not the screen?

I have the same. I still have K&N which is there from 2pm this afternoon. I really really hope it will be delivered tomorrow as this is driving me nuts. I called Apple 6x today but they don't know anything. Everyone told me something different and it really shows how trained they are. I've been even promised a call back after one lady (Claire) would check the status by calling the depot (or whatever they call it) but nothing happened. I hate when they promise to call back but they never do. So unprofessional

They are lying to you. They tried the same with me but when I told them that the screen was ready and was waiting for 30" they replied that they don't really know what is going on and they kept saying that I should get it by the 19th Feb. When I told them that there are people that they get it in 2 days and that they have the same config as me, they shipped after me and they ordered after and do live in UK and I am still ****ed for next 7 days then they have no response to that and they keep saying the same **** they have in their manuals (every order is different blah blah blah ). I would rather if they told me that the other person just got lucky than telling me that this rubbish.

FWIW - I have finally got my MP running and just downloaded 10.5.2 I opened up the system and noted a Western Digital 320gb inside. Just in case you wanted to know.

Damn, run out of hours playing tonight. Must hit the sack soon.

Mine changed to UK DISTRIBUTION CENTRE earlier today, and as of this evening I have a new tracking number and an Assigned Carrier: UPS. The UPS web site says Location: TAMWORTH, BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED at 12:10, ORIGIN SCAN at 18:50 and then DEPARTURE SCAN at 22:39. So hopefully, right now, it's tucked up in the local UPS office. Maybe tomorrow...

Still, I'm really not happy about the seemingly complete lack of a queue system. I ordered on the 11th Jan, and I've lost track of the number of people on this thread who ordered after that date and have already received their Macs. My "favorite" is sfxandy: ordered 30th Jan, received yesterday (12th). Nothing against sfxandy or anyone else that has managed to take delivery, but for crying out loud, this is really taking the p**s. And the Apple guy I spoke to seemed to be purposely winding me up - told me on the 8th (the day it shipped - when it had changed on the 7th to prepared for shipping) that it wouldn't ship until the 15th and that the reason was because of a wireless mouse. Yea, right.

And I guess there's probably still people out there who ordered before me and have less info, and certainly no Mac. Appalling.

this notice might be too late for some, but the KUEHNE & NAGEL shipment is for over-sea transport i think. After that it's being handled by UPS and their tracking method is very solid. But when you see 1 of either it won't be long.

cheers

ps. I already got mine with the 8800GT and found that the cinebench OpenGL results was a little less than a stock HD2600. This score was around 6040.

If you got yours mind posting the result ?
thanks

Never been anyone's "favorite" before!!! :D

On a slightly more serious note - I should point out that I ordered mine via Apple Employee Discount Shop as I'm fortunate enough to have an employee discount with Apple (I don't work for Apple though before any of you think of lynching me!!!)

Not really sure why this should make a difference but I'm not complaining that I got my Mac Pro in 13 days - WITH a 8800GT !!!

My estimated date changed to yesterday but I didn't notice until late last night. Now it has updated to today via UPS so I'm pretty certain I'll be in Mac pro heaven some time today!

Good luck to the rest of you guys!

That's a shame. I ordered mine after yours and it looks like it's turning up today. I ordered a wireless mouse and keyboard too!

Give em a call again and have another moan. They might knock a few quid off?

I have the same now and it shows 5:37 OUT FOR DELIVERY so I hope I'll get it today :)

Berlin: received mine half an hour ago. Typing this message on it. :D

I have already run into a minor annoyance: I have turned the mouse-sensitivity up to it´s maximum but it still fells a little slow and sluggish to me. (a lot of space to bridge on a 24" monitor) I don´t assume, there is another way of speeding the mouse-pointer, is there? I guess, I´ll get used to it.

received mine 20 mins ago. Going to plug it in soon :)

Congrats Gloor and others who finally got their machines. I install 10.5.2 last night and the system oozes quality. The weight of this machine is something else.

I am going to rip out the hard disk tonight, install a Samsung 750Gb F1 and reinstall OSX. Then I will install my 2x 74GB Raptors which I intend to do software raid-0, this will become the dedicated Widows Vista Ultimate drive. The 320gb will be a spare drive to use in the MP, most likely for Itunes collection.

Or just use the 320gb for Vista, and use the 2x Raptors for doing DV / iMovie stuff. That is probably a better idea.

Dang, I have two nice-looking 23" ACD sitting under my desk right now, but no Mac Pro to go with them. "Consignment Partially Delivered" is the depressing status message from TNT :(

Oh well, better luck tomorrow.

hehe That sucks! I got both my display and Mac today! :D Just one 23" ACD here though, as I have one form earlier.

Gloor, sorry to hear about your ACD problem. It does appear to be too much. Although I have a 24" Dell and never really noticed anything like that. Personally I think given the money, I would be unhappy like you have indicated. I would say, complain and see what they have to say. There are many monitors including 30" LED now (samsung) springs to mind, but you shouldn't have to put up with that in my view.

my 2p worth.

I ordered my Mac Pro on monday and today Apple called me.

They offered me a discount for my order. But I have already paid. So I got 30 Euro iTunes coupon and 1 pair of Edirol MA-15DBK speakers.

I think I sell these speakers on ebay, because they are only stereo and I want to buy the Z-5500 from Logitech. This should be a better choice!?

Is this normal that Apple calls his customers and offers this discounts?

Any Dutch people here who have ordered their machine in the last week of January, and already have their Mac pro w/ 8800GT? :D

--Erwin

if i recall correctly, my order was placed on Jan 16th and got it feb 12th. I do live in belgium, but my computer got shipped to holland the 11th. Then during the night came to belgium and then to me.
So i don't think the country really matters that much.
