maybe next Tuesday.

i didn't even notice i skipped 65832. i'm 68k!
But what will we do in half a year?Just hit 65832 myself, so this will be one of my 4 posts that I'll make while at this rank. Like ~Shard~, I felt it appropriate to post in this thread.
Time to update the ranks, too. I mean, we only have one person at G4 rank, and nobody at 604 or G3 rank (other than mods or Demi-Gods who have chosen not to use the processor rank.) I suggest a new ranking system that gets rid of the unused processors altogether, and simplifies, and gets people to progress through now-obsolete-processor ranks faster:
6502: 1-99
65816: 100-499
68000: 500-999
68020: 1000-1499
68030: 1500-1999
68040: 2000-2499
601: 2500-2999
603: 3000-3499
604: 3500-3999
G3: 4000-4999
G4: 5000-5999
G5: 6000-7499
Core Solo: 7500-7999
Core Duo: 8000-9999
Core 2 Duo: 10000-19999 (At present, only 4 people would be using this rank.)
Xeon (dual-core): 20000-29999 (Only one would be using this rank.)
Xeon (quad-core): 30000+ (Even mad jew is half a year away at his current posting rate.)
at 30,000 posts, he might hit G5
instead of having a 'macrumours 68020'
change it to 'macrumours Mac II 68020' and 'macrumours Quadra 68040' etc
I am predicting (after reading this thread) that after the G5 rank there might be a G6 or/and G7 rank.
Considering not only has Apple never used this, plus not using the same architecture anymore, I highly doubt it.
And I think that using the computers names that used those chips would just make it more confusing.
Then it might be a Core Solo after the G5. Then Core Duo, Core 2 Duo and on.
Thanks for that. I never understood this ranking system.Newbie = 0 - 29 posts

We don't know if arn programmed any other levels, but jelloshotsrule is currently over 7000 and is still a 601.
So 7000 posts and still at the state of 1994 (first PowerPC Mac with a 601 processor released)?
Thanks for that. I never understood this ranking system.

Arn, when will we get Intel ranks? Core Solo, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo, Xeon, Core i5, Core i7...?
Pardon the thread necro, but I remember seeing this thread last month, and I just reached the rare 65832 level myself (screenshot below).
...Yes, it's official: I have no life.![]()
I'm glad I got the opportunity to see it actually onscreen in a post. I'm never refreshing this browser window again!
Wait! I'll just take a screenshot as proof of the elusive 65832...
...nah, I'd just be accused of Photoshopping it!

It's gotta be Photoshopped. I can see the pixels.
