Hello, When I run the activity monitor, my memory pressure seems to be running high. There are many "Google Chrome Helpers" running and I don't know what that means. After closing many tabs, my Macbook is not lagging nearly as much, but it is still in the yellow zone (as opposed to red, or green) and I don't know why so much is going on in the background. Obviously I am no computer expert, please help me out
Chrome is quite a resource hog! You can try using Safari instead to see if this makes a positive difference. Also, shutting down will clear the RAM. Apple menu> Shutdown and uncheck the reopen windows when logging back in option. If you don't already, you'd be surprised how much of a difference shutting down frequently will make.
Hi Is that just closing tabs in Chrome? not Activity monitor? I just did the Mac OS updates and it’s the same slug it always was. I can type this entire message before seeing any of it on the screen, and have to wait for it to appear to correct errors, and then hit reply. Activity monitor shows all ok though.

Nothing beats "a fresh start"...
