Hey everyone, I wanted to share something I built for Apple TV.

It’s called Memovee, and the idea is simple:

Ask. Discover. Watch.

Instead of opening Netflix, Prime Video, Max, Apple TV, Disney+, and other apps one by one just to find something good, Memovee lets you search for movies using natural language.

In the video, I demo searches like:

  • “Top movies on Amazon Prime from 2025”
  • “Top movies on Netflix 2025”
  • “Top movies on Max from 2025”
  • “Recent movies that make me excited about the future”
Then I show the full flow:

Search → pick a movie → choose where to watch → open the streaming app

Memovee doesn’t replace your streaming apps. It helps you find what to watch, then opens the app you already use.

I built this because I wanted Apple TV to feel less like scrolling through a wall of posters, and more like asking for exactly what I want to watch.

Link to iOS App:

Search "Memovee" on your Apple TV App Store

Curious what other Apple TV users think.

Would you use something like this from your couch?

And what would you search for?

This sounds quite interesting. I can't wait to try it tonight when I get home from work.

Now, if you can get it to include the Computers app and Plex to search for local content as well, that would be amazing.

That might be something I need from Apple's SDK, as i do not have access to those APIs from the Computers app. I will look into plex though.

Do let me know your feedback when you try it out. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on pricing as well. I'm cooking some subscription plans as many people have asked for it.
