I went with the 6. The 6+ didn't fit well in pockets and looks strange when holding it up to your ear.

I am a very petite woman and I have a 6+.

I started off with a 6 on launch day and, at first, I thought it was too big for my small hands. Two weeks later I thought it was perfect.

I started looking at the 6+ a month or so ago and I fell in love with the display. When I finally made the decision to get it, CS reps at both Apple and Verizon both questioned me and said they thought it would be too big for me and that I wouldn't be happy with it.

I got it and I LOVE it. No regrets.

I'm a guy and I would always choose a 6+ just because I have already used 4.7-5" screens for the last two years and want to upgrade to a super-sized smartphone! Going from a 5" to 5.2" like an Xperia Z3 won't feel like a big enough difference in experience for me.

But I can understand if more people chose the 6 esp if they came from an iPhone 4 or 5 series. Different hand sizes, different ways of carrying, long transitional phases, etc. Some may need some "prep" work. After two years, I am pretty much ready to go 5.5" or above. My transitional phase won't last very long once the large footprint becomes normal to me.

Theer are ram issues for some and they can be a pain. But, I and a vast majority don't have them or don't do things were they are very noticeable. :)

8.3 seems to have helped a lot.

Sorry to stray OT

The 6 was a no-brainer:

  • One-handed use
  • Pocketability
  • Doesn't feel like a tablet strapped to my arm while running

iP6 for me. The most important factor for me was the ability to comfortably carry it in my pants pocket. If I had to choose again, I'd still go with the 6.

6 for me. I'm 5'5", I'd feel stupid with a 6+.

6 is really prime for me with a thin case on it. It's already big enough to carry in my pocket.

for the people who said 6 plus doesn't require more ram... what is this following thread all about then?

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1785430/

Well, the lag and everything isn't just because it only has 1GB of RAM, it's also because the screen is down sampling on the spot. See, the 6 Plus has a point count of 414x736 and this is how imaging is drawn. It is then scaled up (on the 6 Plus) 3 times, rendering at 1242x2208. This is what should be shown on the screen, however it cannot fit because the iPhone 6 Plus has a 1080p display. So, iOS down samples the image from 1242x2208 to 1080x1920. This takes a lot of processing power.

This leads me to believe that either the 6s Plus or 7 Plus will have at least a 1242x2208 display so it isn't as taxing on the GPU. All of these issues though, including RAM usage, are greatly improved with 8.3. Like others have said, 8.3 is what 8.0 should have been from the start. iOS 8.0 left the testing facility too soon. I blame the executives because they want to push out a new numbered release of iOS every year meaning the engineers have a by limited time to work on the iOS.

Don't own it yet but I am planning to go with the 6 (hopefully by the end of the week).

The screen did it for me. I think of it more as an ipad mini that fits in the pocket. Plus all the way...and no I'm not 6'5 lol.

iPhones 6 and 6 Plus.

Kept both yet eager to dump them since iOS 8 is ragged.

Hoping Apple gets serious and makes the second gen models better. Either way I'm pre-ordered, odds alone will help Apple do better this time around.

At this point Apple's so financially secure they can get away with anything.

Hang on, you assume us "men" are all the same :)

something that might suit a 120 pound bloke might not suit a 250 pound bloke and vice versa.

Iphone 6+ 230 pounds.

The world has an old invention namely hardware scaler.
:D

I went with the 6 due to size. I like to use my iPhone one handed a lot and my smallish hands didn't allow it.

On the contrary, my sister with even smaller hands went with the 6 Plus. Go figure.
