Menu Bar is solid grey during Leopard Install

I just installed Leopard on 2 machines. During the install process the menu bar is solid and has a grey gradient like app windows. It looks good.

It gets replaced with the transparent menu bar once Leopard is installed. Just what is going on here? and anyone know how to get the solid grey menu bar back?

That's the $1M question.

It's also opaque when running Aperture, Soundtrack, or LiveType.

In terms of the installer DVD, it's a hack.

It has to do with LCA.app on the installer DVD.
