my iPad was just shipped. I got an email a few moments ago from Apple! Super Stoked

Although, this is what it says

Shipment Date:
25 May, 2010

Delivers by:
31 May, 2010

I had a previous email saying it'd deliver by the 28th..

For those of you thinking you may get it early (Thursday), think back to the US launch. How many of them arrived early? Perhaps a few of the tens of thousands ordered. Apple and the shipping companies have done these types of launches before. Delivery on May28th means just that. Anything earlier means someone screwed up. I guess we can all hope for that kind of a screwup though. LOL

I just ordered my iPad on Friday (am a student didn't have money before then) anyway am wondering if I should start a new thread for those that ordered it later on as everyone on here seems to have ordered it the day the pre-order came out. I just want some company while I wait for mine..lol 😀

Also I called the Apple two days ago and asked why some people were receiving their notifications / when Canadians can expect to see theirs. Eventually the topic of "Could it arrive early" came up and the Apple rep said that it is very possible that we could receive the IPADs before the 28th. According to him, Apple is not concerned if the shipments arrive a few days early.

i preordered on may 9th actually lol, basically as soon as the store was open haha.

mine is still "prepared for shipment" so it should send out tomorrow and hopefually ill have it friday like apple said cus someone else posted about not getting theirs till later even tho they preordered may 10th

So wish I'd been able to order mine May 9th..oh well. I'm wondering if Best Buy, Future Shop and London Drugs will be getting stock of them? I could always cancel and order on their sites if they do. I wouldn't mind waiting if I had a date the fact it says 'June' with no date is really bugging me.

I am from Calgary. I ordered on the 10th and am now "prepped for delivery".

I wanted to pick it up at Market Mall, but the store employees said they couldn't do that.

So Purolator delivery it is.

I phoned Apple to ask why the case,keyboard and camera kit that I ordered did not ship yet and the guy I spoke to apologized and gave me the camera kit at no charge. I was not looking to get free stuff I just wanted to make sure there was not a problem with the payment. Apple does have great customer service. 🙂 My iPad won't be arriving until Monday because FedEx dose not deliver to the town I live in. Instead it will arrive in Edmonton and FedEx will send it by Canada Post the rest of the way. I live about 40 km from Edmonton. But not really too upset because I have a 32GB wifi iPad that I am using to type this. I will be going to my wife. So she will have to wait.

As of 8:40am, local time for me (gmt -4:00), i just checked my tracking number and my iPad has left China, so thats a good thing. When I got my iMac and Macbook Pro and I tracked those online, same thing... whenever they left China, it was just 2-3 days till I got them, and Im in east coast Canada.

I still haven't received my email confirmation. Checked the website and it said it was still just Prepared to Shipment, then I clicked details just for fun and at that very moment it updated. SHIPPED!!! Says estimated delivery is Thursday by noon, but I'll expect it Friday morning.

Yay confirmation! Thursday by 6pm.... but we close at 4 🙁 Damn Fed-Ex. If it were via UPS I could get my buddy to make sure I got it early.

Well mine is now in transit out of China. Now I get to watch the really annoying tracking where the ipad flies over to Anchorage AK which is a 10hr drive from me. So you think hey, just send it over here....but no then it flies down to Memphis TN and then back to either Vancouver or Calgary depending on which day of the week it is. Then finally flies up to me in the Yukon. My iMac flew to Calgary, then to Vancouver then back to Calgary and then up to me!! It actually amounted to it arriving earlier than if it had stayed in Vancouver, so bottom line is I just have to have faith!!

Another Fedex order I have coming just arrived in Richmond BC from HK and then instead of coming straight up to me, it just went down to Memphis TN also. I guess Memphis has to sort all the orders that come in internationally no matter what??

Oh you guys are lucky! My iPad still says "prepared for shipment".
Expect it to ship sometime today... Still says delivers by May 28th.
However, I have delayed my trip for 3 weeks, so I will not be seeing my iPad until June 14th.
Apple had estimated my sim to deliver on May 25th, but the UPS tracking shows nothing.

Apple guy on the customer service line this morning told me all Canadian Accessories will not be shipped until Friday.

I ordered on the morning of the 10th.

I live in Calgary (a major centre).

And my confirmation now says delivery by May 31?

Why? What's going on? And why Fed Ex?

My order shows as shipped via Fedex with estimated delivery on May 28th by 6pm to London Ontario. I had ordered on the 10th at 4:29pm.

Mine shipped, and according to fed ex is still scheduled to arrive at destination (calgary) by 6pm may 28 ( unless there are holdups with customs; and this appears to be the key)
