Can i ask where you are from? Also what does my age have to do with this? Also, despite your poor opinion of me, you did not ask me to remove this, which is all you have to do.
You might want to remove it anyway, since someone might construe it as an insult. I thought it was funny actually, but that's me.

I said age because when I asked how your mom would feel I didn't want you thinking I thought you were 13. Also, I don't care if you remove it or not, you are free to speak what you'd like, I just wanted to express my feelings toward your comment to someone else's mother. It's not an insult to me personally, I just think about how our parents will be gone one day and would never want to talk about someone elses family. I'm not saying I'm perfect, I'll call someone a bitch all day but wouldn't bring their family into it. Again, I don't care what you post, I was just expressing my feelings.

Let's not let a troll get inbetween us. Just let it go. Morality is a hard lesson to teach on the interweb. He removed it so all good.

PPL decide for yourself, go out and test them all and decide on your own, it is the only way.

My buddy loves corvette's and his car is nice, but just because he likes or doesn't like something will not lead me to buy or not to buy something I like or want.

Next time you do a review try giving a comparison, just stating you went out and bought one and you do not like it, well that really doesn't help much and all it does is stretch out threads like this...

Why android is still a bit away from the iPhone

Dont get me wrong, I love the android platform and love the Droid from Verizon. The network has been much more solid than AT&T and quite a bit faster in my area.

That being said, the new iPhone "should" trump the Droid. Not because of the network, but because of the polished apps. You can say what you want about the amount of apps to choose from, but its all diluted. I found every app on the droid that I used on the iPhone (save beejive). The difference is, the iPhone apps are about 10 times more polished. They just look brilliant, open instantly, etc. Coupled with the new hardware, its really going to put it over the top. Higher resolution = far better user experience for me.

The above results in a far better user experience, and will be why I will switch to the iPhone 4 whenever it comes out regardless of carrier. Android just needs apps that are more polished and less cumbersome.

Not to mention push services are far superior to background services.

Then apparently you like shiny pretty things... that have no substance.

Me on the other hand, will take function over form 9 times out of 10.. Android just has more function and will ALWAYS have more function that Iphone hardware and OS..

Why is Jack in the Box better than Burger King?
Why is Papa John's better than Domino's?
Why is Angelina Jolie hotter than Megan Fox?
Opinion is opinion, and not fact.

To me I'd prefer background apps to push notifications, as I really like the way IM programs on Android behave over that of the iPhone. When I had Beejive on the iPhone the push notification system sucked, especially if it were replaced by another push notification or a text message. However that's my opinion and it's not any more or less valid than yours. Based off my needs and desires in a cell phone, Android far beats what the iPhone ever gave me.

Besides in the next update push notifications are coming along side of background apps so we will have the best of both worlds. The push notifications on Android will go beyond a simple popup message. For example, I can be reading a webpage and click an icon in Chrome that will send a push notification to my phone. That notification will automatically open up the browser, and go to the webpage I'm on.

hahaha..Why are you still here? You obviously also like shiny things, too. :D

Or are you an infiltrated Android/Google guy that comes here to praise their products?

Im just waiting on someone to tell me why? What substance or features does Iphone apps have of android apps? Be specific.. not just "oh its polished and it has smooth edges on the apps"

I mean like... what makes those apps vs. android apps better or more capable? Looks only get you so far...

Oh I am here because I used to be blinded by shiny pretty, cool iphone... I have had one of each iteration of it... but I saw the light.. the android light. I just want to let other people know that there is better out there, there is choice... and its not with iphone.

Not only that but I am a Mac lover in general... I have a 17in mbp, my wife 13in, time capsule, ipad(not for long), and 3 ipods...

That's not what you said originally. You said they "have no substance." That's an ignorant comment.

Because the apps I have on my Android phone constantly crash. I am ready to pay the $300 penalty to change and RUN from the Android.

And besides, what's wrong with "polished and ... smooth edges"? You wanna drive a VW Beetle, or a BMW 5 series. Both get you there, but one is a whole lot more fun!!

Sorry, I shouldnt of said "no" substance. That is a very to the point word... I meant "very little" and that comment is in comparsion to android. "Very little" cannot stand on its own merits... because if all you have ever owned was the iphone then its the best thing since sliced bread, but in comparsion to others... its is not.

Got it?

None of this actually matters. The only thing that matters is that Android is an OPEN platform that can be used by everybody to build devices and to write software for while the iPhone OS is a RESTRICTED and mostly CLOSED platform. You don't need to know any maths to predict how this will end and where the DEVELOPERS will go, a little history lesson in Windows vs Mac will do. According to the latest numbers, Android sales have already surpassed iPhone sales.

What apps may those be? I have had very few apps crash... but are you saying iphone apps never crash?? Devs should be able to fix it with updates.

Bmw 5 series or vw?

Same function? no, BMW has more function than vw... and it just happens to be a better looking car... so the best of both worlds!:p

Yes. But I'm a German and know both cars very well and believe me when I say that the Beetle is more affordable and that it will still run when your BMW is already in the garage or on the dump.

However, that's just your opinion based on what you want your phone to do. I've used the droid, and I do like some of the services that the android platform offers. However, I am willing to sacrifice those things for the fit and finish of the iphone along with ease of use. I think ease of use gets lost in the conversation. For something I'm using on the move and using constantly it's an important criterion for me.

I agree with the OP here, i have owned all iphones, and now using a nexus one. I will be getting the new iphone as soon as it comes out. Android is a great OS, i love the notification bar, but i really miss the push notifications on iphone. Running apps in background really kills the battery life.

Also, the apps on iphone are far more superior than on android. Graphics on the games are really bad compared to the iphone. Gameloft games are like 60 MB on iphone, whereas like 4 MB on android. I think this is because there are so many android phones out there, so developers just want to make one version that is compatible with all phones. Also, not to mention that android doesn't allows apps to be stored on SD card (correct me if wrong). So developers have to make sure that the size of app is as low as possible, since most phones come with just a couple hundred megs of built in memory.

Developers will go where the money is. Which is currently the iPhone OS by a landslide. Unless you are talking about several years from now. When you have no idea what changes Apple and Android will make in the meantime.

No, they haven't.

For me, what beats iPhone OS is applications ability to interact with each other on Android.

For instance, the last.fm app on the iPhone can't scrobble tacks played to last.fm (the desktop app does when you sync you iPhone I should add!). On Android, the app will send your live playing info and scrobble tracks in realtime.

Another example is things like the Facebook or Twitter apps. Install either of these and you can upload pictures direct from the gallery app to any services that support it (email, MMS, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr e.t.c) by clicking on the menu:

It just makes more sense to me to be able to upload pictures to all services you use direct from the gallery or from the camera app!

Things like that make Android apps for me more useful for me but overall, polish on iPhone apps is far higher, I do agree.
