Wait, what?? I was at Sprint yesterday and was told the EVO is capable of that.

Only with 4G. While the CDMA standard is now capable of it, no one has implemented it yet. I have no idea whether the qualcomm chipset supports it (although I believe it does).

My sister just switched form an iPhone 3G to the Droid Incredible and here are the problems she's experiencing.

Network Reception:
YES, you heard right. She only gets 1-2 bars of reception where all other verizon phones get better. This is a big problem for the Droid Incredible. I don't know if it's Verizon or the Incredible's hardware, but a lot of people (including my sister) are having trouble with it.

Interface:
The Android Sense UI is nice but some times it takes 3-4 steps to get to simple settings. It is slick looking but it's not as easy to get around like the iPhone (her words) and she's had it for almost a month now.

Camera:
Nice but not that great, takes pics a little better than my 3G. But not by much.

Screen:
Gorgeous but in the daylight it's pretty dim.

I like android and apple, but apple seems to have not only caught up in features to droids but has a better user experience all around.

It's the phone, in a sense. The way the Incredible calculates the signal level correlates differently from the bars are displayed in other phones. I had an Incredible for a month and used it along side my Droid and while my Droid always displayed higher bars on screen, their signal level (displayed in dBs) were very close to each other.

In the end, I didn't really like the Incredible over my Droid, so I took it back.

Reception: Not even a discussion? I don't think this is completely true. AT&T network has been criticized very much because it is handling too many iphone users. I am not saying AT&T has been doing the best to keep up their network, but I don't think any network provider would have been able to handle iphone without any issues. Based on where I live, Verizon gets the best reception, but AT&T is not too far from it. Sprint/nextel get absolutely terrible reception.

You may voice your opinion, but you cannot just say AT&T network sucks. Because not everyone is having an issue with receptions.

Also, your 16/32GB discussions are also hard to understand. Droid incredible comes with only 8GB memory installed and iphone will offer you 16GB/32GB for 199/299 dollars.

To be honest, iphone 4 is not even out yet. You can just throw in some specs and compete with droid, but no one can say anything about iphone 4 for sure until they use it.

Sure... Only if 4G coverage is available widely...

Also, Sprint throws in extra 10 dollars whether you live in 4G area or not. That's just another perfect customer service.

Yep, $10 a month for UNLIMITED 4G. Sure as hell beats AT&T's ripoff $15 for a lousy 200MB and $25 for 2GB of their crappy 3G
