OMG, How you've managed to stay a member without getting torn apart is beyond me
The guy who said it would be this week seemed legit... has he posted? Where are you!? I need the MBP soon for study!
I sent a PM to ask what happened.
In short, he's confused, his source has always been right, and he's trying to figure out what happened.

Ok guys I think I need to clarify a couple of things here:
I was informed by my source man last week that there would be an update on MBP lines this week and later on he told me it would be on Tuesday. He was really positive about the update and he also told me there would be an MBA update coming around March. He's a really reliable source and was never wrong before so I trusted him and thought I would like to share this exciting info with you guys.
But as we all know there's nothing happened today except Aperture 3. I don't know what's going one here but just keep in mind that I've been waiting for this update for almost a year now and I'm as eager as you guys to see the update coming.
Feel free to call me a troll here but all I did was sharing what I know.

Well that would mean you were waiting for this update before the last update was released..... seems a little silly to me. Why buy one now? There'll be yet another update in about 8 months!
no hard feelings, I'm still waiting. Hope soon though since I need more from a laptop and all I have is a HP 10inch mini to hold me over. Considering this is my first mac some think I shouldn't wait but my desktop is running a i7 with 8gb of ram and two 8800gt's I'm in good hands for now, waiting

well, this has happened to me before with cell phone releases so I feel you. I got burned badly with the Palm Pre release, but i guess palm was nice enough to release a new video that day so i wouldnt get reemed that bad
But anyway, i am curious as to what your buddy has to say now? Does he think its next week or he just doesnt know anymore. Let us know once you talk to him,
You cant believe everything you hear about dates and such. I could post right now that i have a friend who has a friend thats related to Steve Jobs banker who said Jobs told him why make the switch when hes making double the profits for selling "older" chips now instead of upgrading? Would you believe me? Obviously this guy has lost credibility and well move on to the next poster that has a "friend".

seriously, just stop with the baseless predictions. Even a blind man can get a bulls-eye eventually with enough throws, and that's all these are. You have ZERO indication of when anything is occurring other than a guess. And yes, eventually someone will get it right and claim to be "all knowing"...
tell you what, if you know so much, list the exact specs, price, and date of release, and then if you miss any of those I think the mods should ban you for being a big fat liar. Sound fair?

I'd like to buy a MBP since April '09, so it seems I am waiting approx. as long as OP. Point was, I just did not have enough money when MBPs were updated June '09. And later the year I hoped for a quick refresh and preferred waiting. So, here I am, waiting together with you.
