So I've been pretty perturbed about the whole mess of my meaningless iPhone 4 "reservation" that reserved nothing but the right to stand in a stupidly long line, along with the horrible performance that plagues my 3G after the iOS 4 "upgrade." So much so, in fact, that I was looking at switching to Verizon/Droid.
I mentioned this to my not-so-tech-savvy wife who has come to actually enjoy her iPhone, and I was shot down remarkably quickly. She's the last person to worry about the style/cool factor of her phone (she was using an old Motorola StarTAC before I bought her first iPhone) but cited the simplicity/ease of use of the iPhone.
So I don't know why I bring this up, other than to maybe temper my anger at Apple a bit and to share the realization that the iPhone is a pretty awesome product in the grand scheme of things.
I live in DC. Right now I'm spending 3 months working at the Cleveland Clinic. Apple will only ship an iPhone to the service address listed on the AT&T account. Being 400 miles from home makes it a little tricky to wait for the fedex man.
I sold my iphone4 and now using my droid. Love over the air updates and love pic push take a pic and it sends it to Flickr without having to do anything.also I think it has a better camera then the iphone4

Today I was at a friends house and her and he husband had matching, black Motorola Droids.
Seems like your thread was moved to the right place. Hopefully this thread answers your questionToday I was at a friends house and her and he husband had matching, black Motorola Droids. The phone was black and had a slide out Qwerty to the left. It was running 2.1 firmware. Wondering which phone this was (I asked my friend and she was clueless)
My 15 minutes of tinkering was a bit boring. First the plus's. First and foremost, it had 3G service. The fact that the city has 65k and ATT doesn't have #G bothers me much. Actual phone features that were nice: Being able to see what apps are using your battery life, to the exact percentage.Wireless synch (though I didn't use this I saw it available in settings) The "back" or "previous" button.
Other than these features I found the phone a bit dull. The screen wasn't even as good as my 3GS when I had it. The phone is nothing to look at and seemed bulky. The touch screen, while decently responsive, didn't have the inertia you would like. The 5 megapixel camera was no where near the i4.
All in all I only used it for 15 minutes but would never purchase it. Just curious which Droid this is. They bought them like 4 months ago (if that narrows it down)
Just a note.... I held the phone in the "death grip and the signal dropped.

If it's a Motorola with a slide-out keyboard and Android 2.x, that would make it the Droid (A855). The Droid X doesn't have a keyboard. (I guess maybe it could've been a Backflip, but there aren't that many of those out there.)
