Just got mine from UPS, 9:30 central time, Birmingham, AL.

Activating now!! Thanks to all in this thread for keeping me entertained over the last week!
 
I just called and I might have to go pick it up in an hour but they are trying to do an urgent redelivery or my rescheduled delivery is the 22nd now. This is stupid!
 
Has anyone who used the shipping release form on the door seen a delivery confirmation on their UPS tracking page? I asked them to leave it with my neighbor, so hopefully since they can sign for it the UPS guy won't ignore the form like he did with the guy above.

AT&T is like Apple's slow brother... They never seem to really understand what Apple is doing. They try to mimic them but always find themselves doing things the wrong way. MMS, Tethering, Shipping out phones on a first come first serve basis overnight to arrive on June 19th... you know... making Apple roll his eyes in embarrassment as he has to wait for its little brother to catch up while he is just trying to hang out in the sun with Susie and her friends at the pool. I would have ordered through Apple's website but AT&T wanted to be cool like his big brother and prevented me from doing so. AT&T is just blocking my entrance to the pool and I have to just stand here... in this heat, looking through the chain link fence, at all the smiling people hoping to get a little bit of water splashed my way.

Anyways, I am not pissed for not getting my phone today. Just pissed at being lied to by an incompetent AT&T. There are several people on here that ordered after me who have their phones right now...
 
WOOOOOHOOOO! iPhone 3G S just got here and is in my hands! Way to go doorman so I didn't have to get up early and stand on line or even sign for my package! YEAHHHHH!!!

I agree , that is the most irritating part. It's not fair that people who ordered later like a few days ago got theirs and here we wait.
 
wooooohoooo! mine's officially delivered......even though i'm not home 🙁

mine was through fedex and i signed the pre-release authorization form and it was accepted and the fedex guy left it where i told him to (at least that's what it says on the tracking page)..omg can't wait to get off work haha
 
Out for delivery.. It's funny how they send it from Fort Worth, TX (40 min from me in Plano) to Memphis and then back again. Oh well that's fedex lol.

Just curious guys, but why would you order from AT&T instead of going to Apple?
I ordered from apple.com and hopefully won't have any problems. My iphone is "out for delivery" right now.
 
SoCal repoting in... well Los Angeles to be more specific. AT&T shipped my iPhone on Thurs via 2 day FedEx. Here's what the tracking info says currently:

I have a business account and can only do things through the AT&T premier site or over the phone with our rep. It's a pain in the... but we do get a few perks.

Some of us were forced to if we are premier (business) discount customers. I have for one removed that off my account due to the hassles this time around. Next time im going strictly through apple.

Hey, who did you call, did you find a number for the local distribution center that sent it out for delivery? Or did you just call a 1-800 number for UPS?
