No all the messages show on all devices it’s just the text messages that don’t delete on iPad and iMac when I delete them on iPhoneI had the issue just after the update and then I just deleted all the non matching conversations from both sides and since then I have no issues.
Do you have sync issues with new conversations started on the iPhone or iPad ?
Yeah same here really bugging me constantly having to delete messages from all devices, this release cycle has completely screwed message syncing, sometimes things sync up sometimes not, sometimes all iMessages are syncing sometimes not, deleted messages delete from all devices but not from the deleted messages list, it’s a bit of a shambles which I hope gets fixed in a later release.I noticed that today it is wild, iMessage via iCloud seems not to work at all anymore, none of my devices are synced : iPhone / iPad / Mac / Apple Watch, all are on the latest releases, stable, not beta.
How about you ?
I will keep you updated 👍😂👍I do not think you need to go through the pain of resetting everything as it seems to be a bug and not due to your configuration specifically.
However if you do so I am interested to know if it solved the issue !
Quick update, I factory reset my iPad and iMac and all is syncing perfectly now… wasn’t too much of a painful process but just a bit time consuming… the only issue is if you receive a message and don’t open the messages app on other devices before you delete it, it still shows the Red 1 on the messages app on those devices… this is likely just a notification bug though which will hopefully get fixed soon, the message is still deleted and synced up though.I do not think you need to go through the pain of resetting everything as it seems to be a bug and not due to your configuration specifically.

Quite possibly, or possible the latest update has fixed the issue possibly…OK thanks for the update !
On my side seems to work again fully ok, without having done anything special... Maybe it is on the Apple side, with iCloud servers a bit laggy or suffering from the latest updates ...
That is expected behavior for the watch, and the watch does not do 'Messages in iCloud'. New messages will sync to the watch, but not deletions. Also, the watch only keeps the last 30 days of messages. Because of that, I've stopped bothering deleting messages off my watch since it'll eventually do it automatically. This is not new to iOS 16 but when deleting messages, they delete from the phone, Mac, & iPad but not from the watch. I can't find a setting anywhere in the watch for messages in the cloud
Thanks, I did not know either of those things. I guess it makes sense as the watch has very limited space. That is expected behavior for the watch, and the watch does not do 'Messages in iCloud'. My messaging sync across devices is almost completely broken on 16.2.I noticed that today it is wild, iMessage via iCloud seems not to work at all anymore, none of my devices are synced : iPhone / iPad / Mac / Apple Watch, all are on the latest releases, stable, not beta.
