The ideal bag for me is horizontal rather than vertical - easier to get in and out of and to find items.

Room for the MBA and iPad plus peripherals is ideal.

A lot of bags are too small/sleeve like in size or too big, very hard to find something in between, lightweight with just enough room for carrying daily essentials.

Same problem here. Looked at many bags.

I prefer both vertical and horizontal.

I looked around for a bag for quite awhile. I decided on a bag from sfbags. At first I was thinking about the medium Cargo Mambo Combo, but the more I looked and read the more I thought that *for me* the Cozmo would be better because of the opening in the top and no flap. I really liked the leather on the flap on the Cargo, but the Cozmo just seemed more practical.

In the end I ordered the Cozmo Mambo Combo (the bag, a sleeve and a utility bag). I carry a little more than the OP, but the medium size looked just about right for me.

I have been using my Tom Bihn bag for over a year.

The SF Muzetto bags look absolutely gorgeous. The pine trim really caught me eye, and the worn leather done right is always a nice effect. The slightest scratch/scuff on your bag won't make you break down in tears. I read a couple reviews today and they are just about pushing me over the edge for getting an MBA. So I'm a sucker for accessories, leave me alone :D

Seriously though, the Muzetto seems to be a great case. The photos/reviews/videos all show things like putting an MBA/iPad, bluetooth keyboard, AC adaptors, wallets, iPhone, etc. all in there where it's all easily accessible. Back pouch as well with room for magazines or whatever you want quick access to.

<edit> I think the Muzetto has 2.5" of internal capacity, of which you'd be using probably 1.5" between an MBA and iPad in thin cases. Should still easily fit a scribbler unless it's a real monster. </edit>

The difficult question remains ... 11.6 or 13 :D I seem to change my mind every day.

Just order the SF Muzetto 13" bag a week ago but no stock until March. The good of this bag is also good as a day bag even not carrying the MBA.

Looking forward for it shipped for my MBA 13". I am now using a incase sleeve.

I just got one of those... it's an amazing bag. I'm surprised how much stuff I can fit in it.

120 bucks? Damn I spent 50 on messenger bag and 20 on the macvelope. I can fit everything I need in it including mouse and keyboard, cables, iPad, my passport hard drive, DVD drive

How much can you fit in that?

I didn't want to fit in a lot. I wanted the smallest bag with padding to protect my MBA 11, plus a room for a notepad, cables, charger, sunglasses case, and maybe one book. One of the main reasons I got an MBA 11 was so I could travel light.

Same. I just dont put everything in my bag. MBA cables pen and paper is all I need usually. O ya and iPad can't forget

Can't get used to shoulder bags ... backpacks seem more manly and easier to organize and carry if you find the right one.

Here's what I'm using right now, it's fairly small in size, my 11" Air and iPad don't get lost in it.

Everything I fit in my Tumi bag, except of course the 15" MBP, but at a fourth the cost. I'd say the Ristretto is more cleverly designed than the Tumi and just as well built.

Ristretto is nice but it's hard to find stuff in the pockets, that's the problem with vertical bags - too deep and narrow.

Horizontal bags always seem so much more functional, a messenger bag with a backpack strap would be perfect, best of both worlds. Only one I know of is the eagle creek world traveler, but it's a little big maybe?

lol :) 'cuz that backpack looks really masculine  are you sure it's a men backpack?

I just found it really funny and ironic :) :D
Tom Bihn's stuff is really awesome!

I'm having trouble deciding between Tom Bihn and Timbuk2 right now.

My wife uses a Louis Vuitton Handbag.

I must admit, it is perfect for an 11" MBA!

But at over $2000, not really the most affordable solution.

I love my Tom Bihn bags. I previously had a Timbuk2 and although I liked the style I didn't like the Velcro.
