Meta is evil. They paid some smartphone companies to install Meta bloatware in all phones with no official option to uninstall it. Somehow I managed to get rid of the Facebook app and I do not want it to come back. Bloatware should be illegal.

It is sad that so much of AI computing power is used for nonsense like generating images or emojis.

...and why would anyone trust Meta's AI over the others??!!?? Please....please tell me.....

I know Meta is doing this because AI is the hot new thing, and if you don't have AI in your portfolio and you are a publicly traded company, your stock is gonna be affected......and everyone's AI is getting released as an app, so Meta is just following the trend...nothing revolutionary here....

Not missing out without the app. Happy with the current web version. Though with an app, more people may start using it. Will not be surprised to see a paid plan in the near future.

I think we all share the same views on Meta.

But that aside, this always should have been standalone. It was annoying in the extreme to be integrated into the existing products.

Will be interesting to see how they build in adverts & useless nonsense that is of no relevance to what you asked it for?

“Meta AI - can you tell me who invented baked beans?”

“Baked beans is sold world wide in all these shops…. Ad Ad Ad etc here’s people with the name ‘bean’ . Insert actor ‘Sean bean Wikipedia profile’ & ads to his films & a million other FB profile.

Then finally
“beans were made by Mr Heinz”

I do not trust any meta app. It’s a cancer of the internet that should be exterminated from society.

All these AI companies are spending insane amounts of money to secure a spot on the leaderboards of a commodity technology that lacks any discernible competitive advantage.

Yes, AI is a cool and useful technology that will be with us for the rest of our lives.

No, there does not seem to be any defensibility or competitive moat we know of for it.

Will be interesting to see if and how AI companies can ever turn a decent ROI on their investments. I have my doubts.

Given the frankly terrifying amount of user data they have harvested over the years and so able to utilise, their offering had best be the absolute pinnacle of AI.

I still have zero interest however, so will never know.

This is getting out of hand now so many, everyone is making it, Gemini still works well but I never use ai

Data harvesting company releases data harvesting app on which users can get harvested data by having their data harvested. Highly efficient
