I know there is talk of a "remastered" game coming for the Wii U in 2015 and I would love for it to be the Metroid Prime series, in reality im thinking it is going to be Luigis Mansion or Eternal Darkness.

I am thinking of picking up the Trilogy for $49 but I am concerned about not liking the Wii controls. I have the first prime on gamecube and I love it. Is it worth it? Anybody stop playing because of the controls?

Considering you get 3 games for the price of one, I think it's worth it. They are good games. As for the controls, that's a personal preference. There are lots of people out there who prefer the Wii version of Prime 1/2 over the Gamecube versions just for the controls. As for me, as much as I dislike motion controls, and think they ruined a bunch of otherwise good Wii games, I have to admit the controls do work ok for Metroid Prime. I still prefer traditional controls but not enough to make me not want to play the Wii version of Metroid Prime at least.

That'd be nice. I haven't replayed Prime since I first beat it all those years ago and I'm getting to the stage where I've forgotten most of it. I dunno whether to wait and play the Wii version or hope for a Wii U HD update now!

Would really like to pick this up some time but I'm waiting for them to re-release them for WiiU (doubtful). Just announce it for like 2015 or 2016 or something and then we'll know :)

I really wish they'd release some of these games on the VC for Wii/U for the 3DS VC, such as Super Metroid.

Huh? The 3DS has a higher resolution than the Super Nintendo. Even the lower screen has a higher resolution.

Some games ran at a higher resolution, but I guess you could just not port those games.
