Ah ok, seems like the name has a meaning behind it, but the name is a syllable too long IMO to be taken seriously.

Huh what? 1 syllable too long will decide the future of the entire platform? What if Cortana is better than Siri?

I'm not sure whether it's a good idea to name it after the AI from Halo though... it's a really awkward name to say

Why, do you have a speech impediment? What's awkward about saying three syllables instead of two. Cor...Tan...A! Really, I don't get it, where exactly is the difficulty or awkwardness in that.

I'm surprised by everyone who says they don't use or like Siri. I use it EVERY day for things like...

"Call Jennifer Collins, mobile."
"Set timer for 15 minutes."
"Fast food near me."
"Search web for Tesla Model S."
"What's the weather like tomorrow?"

I also have the "Raise to Speak" feature turned on (Settings/General/Siri) so I can just raise the phone to my ear with a deliberate gesture and Siri is activated.

I want to use her, but 4/5 times I get "Uh hi, something's gone wrong. Can you try again later?"
