I just can't play successfully with 3D on the 3DS. I can ne re get the sweet spot to last for any duration of time, I like the effect when it works, just for me it works so little of the time.

Really!? i too play with the 3D on, *most* of the time, but definitely can't use it when I play Mario Kart, because I get too darn into the game, keep moving it around, and lose the sweet spot.

BTW, where do you get this analytic data from? I'm assuming it is in-house, but...as a statistician & game freak, I am extremely jealous! 😡

An issue, though, is that a 2DS unit is cheaper, would likely sell more, and thus also sell more games. While that isn't as critical for the handheld market, Nintendo needs to send a message in the console market that they are past gimmicks, and into games (and also send the message to dev's that they are going to put out a console that will sell loads of games).

I would buy (and have bought!) a Nintendo just to play their first party games, and I think anybody else who is into quality over quantity would as well, but I appear to be a minority at this point.
 
I was fine with Kinect being apart of the machine. It's a great webcam for apps to use (Fitness, Streaming, Skype, etc) it records clips very easily even tho a Theater Mode in games would be better, and the voice commands helps the UI feel much more manageable. Having said that I understand some people may not care or use it at a all, same with people that would never use Siri. Either way, I bought an X1 way too early since I won't have much to play for a while. Titanfall doesn't have as much replay ability as I hoped for, and Destiny could end up being Borderlands style gameplay/story but i'll give it a chance cuz it's Bungie. Halo 5 is a loooong ways away now, but i'm hopeful that this Halo Master Chief Collection is true, cuz THAT would be worth the purchase all day!!
 
I got a kinect Xbox one with FIFA 14, Titan fall and Ghost for 350 on craigslist. So a 680 value thought not bad but the Xbox one sucks.

It makes you install games you have the disk for and it takes forever!!!! FIFA took me over an hour and still gives me some stupid error about an update!!!! Tho it's letting me play FIFA World Cup with the update and all the teams have their official jerseys.

I spent a while setting up to kinect and the tv features and it's not as great as the commercial makes it sound. As for the apps they don't look 1080p and my connection is 30mb/s.

Not impressed with the system. Just finished my semester and have the World Cup fever so wanted to play FIFA.

I also had a PS4. Also annoying with the updating all the time and making you wait 15-30 minutes to play the game you paid for and have a disk!!! No way as bad as the xbox one tho which I think the issue is you were suppose to be able to sell/buy used games. FIFA and Ghost looked much better on PS4 as well.

I found it hard on the 3DS but it's much easier to keep in the zone on the XL. I don't think the current tech is perfect, I still get crosstalk when theres a high contrast but I don't think there's anything they will be able to do for that.

Yeah just in-house stuff!
I found it hard with Mario Kart too, I picked up a cheap adapter to make my 3DS XL easier to hold and that definitely improved things.

Around the same time the 2DS was launched, Nintendo also released their best 3D game to date: Zelda Link Between Worlds! Gentle but useful 3D, 60fps. I think it's the best showcase of 3D to date and if they had plans of dropping 3D they certainly wouldn't have put so much energy into this game, especially on such a well loved series.
 
When the 360 came out, it was like $300-400. Now they are disposable. I have the patience of a simpleton, I can wait for a few years for it to be around $100 somewhere. Believe me, it will happen.
 
Was at the MS store yesterday and they are taking orders for the "core" unit. I would imagine on one of their displays all they did was take the Kinect away and put the sign in its place.... 😉

They are also expecting the Surface Pro 3's in that day (6/9) to demo - gonna be a busy day for them.

What do you mean, the "core" unit? What's that?

Release June 6th.

Currently you can buy an Xbox One with Kinect and Titanfall for the same price.

Also CEX a reseller has started selling Kinect 2.0's on their own for a mere £20 in-store.

Erm, the time to buy is now then I guess? I'm still not sure where Microsoft is going with this console. Really want one, but the lack of exclusives makes it hard to justify when there's already a PS4 sitting pretty downstairs.
 
Just get the Kinect model. I ordered mine for $399 off ebay. You can find deals to get the regular XB1 console for about $400-450, sometimes even with a game. Otherwise, a kinect 2.0 is about $80 on ebay.

At first I thought about buying the console in parts because I saw the console itself for $250-$300... but MS does not sell the power supply separately (and the 3rd party ones have horrible reviews)... so go to ebay and you'll see an OEM power brick for $80-100!
 
Still holding off until after E3 and see whats coming.

I barely get to play my PS4 as it is so holding off for a while may be good for me anyways. I just need to finish school and then I will have tons of gaming time!

Trust me, the real world allots so much more time for video games. Assuming you get a job, and you dont plan on moving out of your parent's house for a while.
 
Well I am in the opposite end of that spectrum.

I'm 35, currently a full time manager, and have a 2 year old with the wife attempting to finalize my degree.

So its attempting to find a different kind of free time. 😀

Not quite married yet haha. But I have a full time job, 7 days a week, but still get to go home and do stuff. Don't have any kids yet. haha maybe that's why
 
Im jealous of any free time you have over me or anyone else does!
I finish my degree in October so hope I can get some binge gaming done then.

Until then, I am envy of all you free timers!

Best Buy running a trade in sale again for PS3 and 360 and "any working console". I did a chat with the Best Buy site and they said any working console and I verified a Vita that I want to get rid of and they said $50 for it so the price would be $350.

I am not sure how much more I can get for the Vita so might do this

Isn't a NEW Vita going for $200? Used ones at GameStop for $180?
 
But attempting to sell it has been a wash.

Ive tried CL,here, and just now threw it up on ebay.

I planned on getting an XB1 anyways, might as well put this towards it.

Going to see if the price I put it for on ebay sells before the BB deal runs out and then decide.

What town do you live in out it on craigslist and say you want to trade for a xbox 1. Xbox 1 is super glitchy. You move and the kindest doesn't see you ans it kicks you out of the game!!! Or won't let you save.

I had all 3 systems and xbox 1 is def the worst. PS4 sucks too. Only good exclusive is roshogun. Wii U isn't great but nothing is more fun the 4 friends playing Mario Kart or Mario Party. PS4 and Xbox 1 force you to not have friends or local multiplayer to pay them 50 a year to play with little kids to curse at you or say racist ****

The games aren't there yet and you can get the same game on the older systems much cheaper. Graphically the games will suffer until they stop making xbox 360 and PS4 games
