Cute. Is there seriously a market for this though?

I do agree with with the previous comment that we need less messaging interfaces - everyone can have their own preference - rather than more. These interfaces can use whatever channels they like, as an end user I don't care. But I don't want to have to check in half a dozen places for new messages.
 
Particularly with communications and Microsoft, its always good to keep in mind what they've done and have not rolled it back - NSA pre-encryption access (and logging?) to all Outlook.com, Hotmail.com & Skype communications, one should assume this new service will be no different:

There are many articles that say the same/similar things about Apple and the NSA, particularly NSA access into the iPhone.

That being said, I'm aware of only one of these two companies suing the federal government and defying court orders to turn over user data where the government has no legal right. The other is Apple.
