That's a pitiful amount of money for a trade in.

Go look at what trade in companies like Gazelle and Nexttrade are offering for them. It's equally as pitiful. I looked into trading my space grey sport in for a stainless model over the summer (when it was still new and hard to find) and was offered under $250 then. Cowboom sells watches returned to Best Buy for not much more, so Microsoft isn't far off market value.

The Heart rate monitor is actually very accurate and uses the same technology they use in hospital operating rooms. But I agree with the rest of you statement.

Read what you are saying and then you'll better understand what I was saying.

Yes, optical HRMs are accurate in hospitals and other passive/semi-passive environments when you are trying to get an average heart rate, not real time. However, the "old fashioned" chest strap is still the most reliable measurement method for real time. That is why the upper-end level sports watches still incorporate these method of heart monitoring... and in hospitals patients with serious heart issues still get physical leads over their chest.

Band 2? When did band 1 launch? Not to mock or something but I've seriously never heard of this. I've even heard of the Huawei smart watch.

Thats true, and you can pair chest strap monitors to an Apple Watch, and have the best of both worlds.

Now this is funny: I had no idea that Microsoft even had axwatch. No kidding,

The target market must be Microsoft Phone owners...all 7 of them.

When I glanced at this I thought they were giving you the band 2 AND the cash which would be a reasonable offer but just a trade in, wow, totally rubbish deal.

That's a pitiful amount of money for a trade in. I bet the conversation went something like this:
exec: How can we make money off the band 2.
employee: By doing a trade in and then selling the apple watch on Ebay
exec: Consider it done!

Bro I had similar thoughts. They sell their band at a minimal loss but make up for more than that by selling the Apple Watch refurbished smh.

After trading an Apple Watch for a MS Band, how much will Apple offer for a trade-in of the MS Band?

Im totally going to do this.
I have a time machine and I'm about to go back to 2000. So I need a more appropriate watch for that time period.

Make sure you get a Zune too, you know to complete the ensemble.

As someone mentioned before, they will make money by selling all those Apple watches on eBay.

You figure there will be enough profit in the one watch traded in to cover the marketing expenses ?
