The editor should have put this in a table for readability …

“Microsoft's 12-inch Surface Pro, which was its cheapest modern PC at $799, is now priced starting at $1,049. The flagship 512GB 13-inch Surface Pro is $1,499, up from $1,199 when it launched in 2024 (Microsoft also discontinued a $999 256GB configuration). The 13-inch Surface Laptop went from an $899 starting price to a $1,149 starting price, while the 13.8-inch model went from $999 to $1,499 and the 15-inch model went from $1,299 to $1,599

What an unnecessary mess.

And when they come out with their next version with X2 processors they are going to increase the price more. Satya gotta get some money back from investing billions into the Ai toilet.

same can be said about pc vs mac then

I have never had an issue with other people using windows computers or android phones. I am, however, very much amused by people who evidently have problems with what other computing platforms other strangers choose to use, and who seek to constantly run their own perceived superiority in our faces.

I think you two have a major break down in communication lol. Or you are messing around.

I don’t know what that poster is rambling about. Has most websites use .com

The problem is Nvidia they might be wanting to drive GPU-favoring initiatives in PC design. For instance, our current CPU-focused chassis and motherboards don't make much sense in a world where the GPU is larger and consumes far more power.

Windows has always sucked ass...ever since I started using it in the 90s I couldn't stand how ****** it was at literally everything and anything. I kept a windows PC around for gaming until just a few months ago when I went to linux bazzite. Couldn't be happier. I'll never buy or touch another windows machine for the rest of my life. I'm so glad to see Apple kicking their asses up and down the street. Good riddance Microslop....nobody will miss you.

Apple is not doing anything against MS, Linux, android and iOS are upswinging (mostly android and linux), MacOS is flatlined since it existed.

Takes a long time to get everyone over from Windows and onto Mac OS. I've seen the change happening over decades. All of my friends who would have never ever bought a mac or an iPhone when it first released all now have iPhones and macbooks. Literally everyone I know has jumped on the apple bandwagon. Everyone in their 20s has macbooks and iphones...some have android too but overall Windows is dying and everyone knows it. It's a very slow painful death but it's still a death.

For your few friends and family that moved from windows, there are just as many who moved the other way. Decades of Mac and the needle has not moved in the slightest. The change in windows downward movement is due to windows 10 support ending and people moving their perfectly fine hardware to linux. Zorin OS alone has had 3 million downloads of Zorin OS 18 since Microsoft messed around with windows 10. That's downloads, my download is running on four devices.

Yup, that is also true...although why anyone in their right mind would move over to Windows is beyond me lol. You like malware, spyware, microsoft bloatware and slopware...go right ahead and move back to that garbage. It's also true what you said about Linux...i moved from windows over to Bazzite just a few months ago and it's amazing. I'd never go back to windows for gaming. Nothing on earth can reverse this tide. Mac is slowly taking over, windows is slowly dying and linux is slowly rising up as the gaming platform of choice. Xbox is dead too fyi.

It hard when they keep rising the price. Just looking at the HP website and see price go up.

It strange Microsoft is increasing the price on their computers but Intel is bringing out MacBook Neo competitor.

Intel showcases Wildcat Lake reference laptop with aluminum chassis and fanless design

Direct competitor to the MacBook Neo
