Btw, quoting from that great roughly drafted link posted earlier (and you should all read roughly drafted):
No, we shouldn't. It's usually composed of circular logic and fanboy junk.
In this case, you should really note the date of the article. January 2007. And its purpose:
It was an attempt to excuse the iPhone from having ANY THIRD PARTY APPS, on the incredible basis that third party apps could offer nothing of value over what Apple included stock.
Ironically, it made fun of finding oddball junk like "Ghost finder" apps... not knowing, of course, that Fart apps would become the similar future for the iPhone.
READ IT, THIS IS ALL LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY STAFF AND SO TRUE...UNLIKE WHAT THE HANDJOB GUYS WOULD HAVE US BELIEVE. HERE'S WHAT THE GREAT WIN ME AND HANDJOB HAVE BEEN SELLING: "Close button that really closes, etc." APP, YEAH YOU READ IT RIGHT AN APP USED TO ACTUALLY IMPLEMENT THE CLOSE BUTTON FUNCTIONALITY. GEE AND i WOULD OF THANK THAT MS WOULD HAVE FIGURED THIS OUT...
Uh huh. Kind of like the "backgrounder" apps that would be needed (but not allowed) for the iPhone.
And P.S., don't even get me started on Apple charging for stock apps on the iPod touch.
