Yes, it's happening. Activision-Blizzard stumbled in the past couple years (massive sexual allegations, scandals, firings, protests, whistleblowers, executives sacked or forced out, etc) and right at its lowest moment.... Microsoft swoops in and announces intent to buy it out. Microsoft will pay in CASH IN FULL ... so it's an offer that is quite hard for most Activision investors to even counter or refuse.
Once MS completes acquisition... what are the chances that Blizzard Mac games will still exist.... 1 or 2 years from now? Less than 2 percent? Diablo, Starcraft, WoW.... going extinct in the next couple years? I still remember when MS came and acquired Bungie Software. Killed and ended all Mac game development, and games like Halo only developed for Windows or X-Box, and the MacOS was completely left in the dust.
Am I being too pessimistic here? Not that Mac gaming is a big deal anyways. The point being that.... the few remaining GREAT Mac game titles left (e.g. those made by Blizzard) are in danger of being exterminated. In the foreseeable future.
