Original Halo please. My god, that would be so sick...

I played that on my PowerPC Mac. It's a shame it hasn't been updated to run on Intel, for that matter. You could run it in Snow Leopard under emulation but Apple saw to that not being an option unless you want to stay with Snow Leopard forever....

Wow, I'm thinking that Microsoft should bring back Freelancer. It was a great game. Much of the game could be played with just the mouse, so I think the control could be ported over to iOS.

And this is the fate of Nintendo. Nobody wants a DS, everybody has an iPhone. Super Mario bros for iOS, or die.

At least Microsoft has the right idea, for once.

I wouldn't say NOBODY wants but yes the current trend is a multiuse device. So if companies like Nintendo want to attract buyers they need to make their own hardware something that is way better than those multiuse phones etc. and no it doesn't hurt of they put some of the old simpler versions of their stuff on those devices to tempt folks.

I was thinking the same thing! I have it on my MBA and play all the time, but this would be so much more convenient.

----------

rumor is Halo will also be coming to iOS fairly soon.

I think I just creamed!

Doubt it, they are releasing a halo game for windows phone 8 and it is exclusive for it.

Awww... totally killed my buzz.

From someone who is decidedly NOT much of a gamer (or at least not enough to justify the cost of a new console for a couple of $60 games), there are a small number of titles I would love to see on iOS:

All Halos
All Splinter Cells
All Metal Gear Solids
All Super Mario Bros

I don't even need all the Super Mario Bros. just the pre 'super' games and the first three from the Super set would make me happy.

I wouldn't mind some of the old PC games like Kings Quest. And get up to speed on Myst (still only on the iPhone), Riven, 7th Guest and 11th Hour. Not to mention games like Portal.

I'd kill for access to the entire Sierra and Lucasarts adventure catalog on the iPad. ScummVM was the major reason I jailbroke in the first place, and it's the one thing I miss after moving back to Apple Approved Land.

Oh, and the Tex Murphy games. Holy crap, that'd be awesome. This needs to happen.

As for Myst, they do have an excellent port of RealMyst for the iPad, which I personally believe is the superior version of the game.

i <3 AoE

This sounds awesome.

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut they currently have 4 offerings, and nowhere does it say which one we'll be getting. as much as I love the whole franchise, I really only want AoE II, and kinda AoE III. and their fourth offering is AoE Online. I have this weird feeling that Microsoft assumes they can say "AoE is coming to iOS!" and that everyone will think they're talking about their latest offering, not the one we all want, which I'm pretty sure is AoE II

still got my fingers crossed.

i dont see how AOE can translate to the tablet while remaining true to the pc versions...

but thats just me

but.. but... how the hell do you play AGE OF EMPIRES of all games on an iPhone! i often wish i was playing it on a screen BIGGER than my 13 inch macbook!

How about MS Train Simulator for iPad? :)
I'd suck a d**k for that. That's what my ex gf used to say. She was trashy.:D

P.S. Damn i miss her. I might call her. Hope she got out of jail.

Laughed so hard at this. Well as hard as I could as to not draw the attention of my wife. Upvote +999.

Whis would be fantastic! I will certainly buy this, I've always thought that RTS games are a perfect fit for the iPad.

I'm still hoping for Warcraft 2 and the original C&C but I know those will never happen! (I know they're not MS properties)

It has been updated for Intel. Although MacSoft had to totally rewrite the game to do it, so they charged $5 for the patch. Unfortunately they don't have the rights anymore so you can't buy it, but if you do some googling...

Free to play? I'd guess that means it's a port of the Windows free to play one.

It's okay, but IMO the real Age of Empires games are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better, since they have an actual point to them.

AoE Please (Wood Please). Love II. Was meh for III.!!!!

But for the love of god they have to nail the controls. It'll be critical.
