I wonder if there is something useful you could put in that new white space this keyboard leaves? Any ideas?

I tried a third party app. Downloaded it and the first thing it said was that i needed total access to my phone. And it was deleted 30 seconds later. I have not heard of any keyboard app yet that does not require total access and communication with their server. That is just simply a non starter for me.

If that replaces Apple terrible word guessing I'll take it.

Isn't it great that Windows phone users are left out of these new Microsoft apps lol
This comes with all Windows Phones already so... ;)

They replace your existing keyboard, which has total access to your phone. It's a required permission of any keyboard app since every aspect of your phone uses the keyboard in some manner.
The only keyboard apps that require communication to the dev servers are the ones with text prediction engines to get updates. Which is most of them.
Even Apple's keyboard talks to Apple from time to time to update prediction engine data and spell check files.

From my understanding you are 100% correct. The problem is that I trust Apple more than Google which is why I have the iPhone6 and not the Samsung6. The problem is that I do not trust any of the app developers with total access and the ability to call home. MS has been changing under the new leadership, but I am still not ready to give them my phone (data and access). Probably my personal paranoia.
