One of my lecturers had an XP laptop, that had a screen that slid over the keyboard to make a stylus-operated OS, which looked awesome for jotting down notes and drawing things. To be honest, I think their Courier concepts looked amazing and was really gutted that they abandoned the project.

How about the Canadian Pizza Hut site?

Go ahead, try it. Try logging in.
Android tablets... Chrome OS tablets... Windows tablets... it's all just a blur to me and I presume for the average consumer as well. You have to wonder what kind of chance any of these products stand with the amazingly consistent branding Apple has done with the iPad.

And am I the only one having trouble telling the difference between Google and Microsoft lately? They seem to be all about me-too products, and all of them pale imitations of the Apple version.

That has to be a joke. Please tell me there's at least a speck of irony behind that comment.

No irony here. It could happen. What if you suddenly want to order a pizza for a stranger in Canada.

"...and then work on Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint while doing work."

Really? And a person with this gramatical skill, is being cited as a reputable source? Okaaaayyyy.

I've always wanted to work whilst doing work. Nothing like working with work so I can work on my work.

'Said someone familiar with the plans...' - 'Said a 13-year-old kid' more like.

LOL:D

"Ballmer will show a number of these devices"

They still don't get it. Don't show "a number" of tablets. Show -one- tablet. One good one. A clean design, a clear direction.

My message to Microsoft:

I am just about to buy a Lenovo X201 tablet because in my profession there are a number of Windows-only applications that I need to run. None of them are particularly CPU intensive, and honestly I could probably do without the keyboard as well. The HP slate with a higher resolution screen would have been perfect for what I need.

And ironically, BOTH of Zune Marketplace's customers are in the 8th grade.

i doubt an 8th grader would have access to MS Exchange and sharepoint, from what i can see most corporate entities are seeing WP7 as a blackberry alternative because you dont need additional servers like BES to have mobile connectivity

full office is also pretty nice when you dont have to pay extra for it. (no other phone out there can view and edit MS documents without an additional fee especially 2010 files.)

Trolling??

Finally somebody with a brain. You get sick of all these people going 'hurf durf micro$oft' that you just start looking for a valid post. Took half a page to find it.

Frankly iWork is a joke compared to Office. ........

This tablet they will introduce will run and support Flash, and will run full Office, Firefox, and the millions of applications out there that run on Windows 7 will run on it. So you tell me which is the better window.

Yea, if you want to run full windows, just get a desk top. :) And flash is just great.... expecially on a mobile... yea... right... Ho ho ho... love those 50 min battery life times.. :)

Ho ho ho... trolling all the time.. Merry Xbox ring of death.LOL

Just a thought,
