Hi,

I only really need to use MS Word on my Mac but note there is a subscription service you need to sign up to for 365. Is there any way around this, can an install be done of an older version of Word for example? Thanks.

^^Good until July 14.

Saw it as well. And these type of deals do pop-up a few times a year via various sources.

If not needing to share documents with others, and not married to Word interface, can always go Apple Pages route. Or LibreOffice. Free/cheap Office replacements is a frequent topic on the site. For example:

Thanks for your help

There's a $100/year version of Office (family??) that includes 5 licenses that can each install it on 5 devices and also get 1tb of cloud storage. Last time I checked, there was no requirement that these people all belong to the same family, but you should check this yourself.

Anyway, perhaps a friend or family member already has and extra one of these accounts and will add you for free?

Microsoft365 Family is 6 licenses (users) on 5 devices each and 1 GB each.

Sorry, yes you are correct - you get one license for yourself plus 5 additional ones. But the storage for each person is 1 TB, not 1 GB. :)

"Microsoft 365 Family subscribers can share subscription benefits with up to five other people. You can send an invitation or add people to your Microsoft family to share your benefits. Once they accept the invitation, they can install Microsoft 365 apps on their devices and access their own 1 TB of OneDrive storage

Hi, so I have been carrying out the install for MS office 2021. However, it comes to the end of the installation and gets stuck at ‘running package scripts’. Anyone know what the issue may be and how to resolve? Thanks

Thanks for the links! The regular MS site has not been updated yet. All of the apps get updated when you do a "Check for Updates" but that official site is still at version 16.74.1.
How do you find these things so quickly! Amazing :D
Edit: the regular MS Office site has now been updated to include 16.7.5
