Are you saying that they are going to stop doing WoW on Mac?... or are you saying they won't commit to any more games being ported to Mac. I haven't seen these articals.
Won’t port more games. Haven’t seen anything about existing ports.

I’ve been curious why with all the AI craze going on today, replacing CEO with AI is never on the agenda, and virtually no news article talking about AI making executive decisions rather than by humans. I am very eager to know how AI would think of this whole Microsoft purchasing Activision process and will AI approve it.
I am curious as to why people think that an AI CEO would somehow be better for them vs the current status quo. First, AI is only as good as its programming, and who is going to in charge of maintaining the AI that runs the company? That will be the true person in charge of the company, and it may well just be more of the same. You just have the CEO's salary going back into the pockets of its shareholders and board.

Second, I imagine that AI would be even more ruthless in areas like cost-cutting and retrenchment. Employees might get permanent WFH (I imagine AI wouldn't care about petty stuff like being seen as in charge of a department, and would be just as good at monitoring the performance of employees regardless of where they are anyways), but even that could be a mixed blessing if AI decides that people working in places with a lower cost of living should be paid less (or even be more ruthless in outsourcing jobs to other countries based solely on profit-maximising algorithms).

At least a human boss has a car I can still scratch if I am disgruntled with him. What's my recourse if I am unhappy with the way AI is running the workplace?

I think the evidence points to them not caring at all. There's a parasitic dangerous doomer cult that pervades the executives and venture capitalists in gaming, gambling, crypto, AI. They come from finance and don't believe in sustainability and fairness.

They appear to believe that the future of the planet should only belong to a few thousand extremely wealthy people and to achieve that ambition they need to vacuum up all the money and land in the world until everyone else is extremely poor, dead or a serf.

So not surprising to see them endorse rent seeking models such as micro transactions, subscriptions, 'rented virtual home', nfts and other very regular costs. In the long run people who pay these things monthly will end up with nothing when they are old. No money to retire on. No money to leave their children. No money to even have children. No home they can own themselves.

Of all companies to buy Activision then Microsoft is the best. At least you can still run your own servers on some games. They can’t be any worse than Activision was. Famous last words.

We can kiss the Mac ports goodbye...

Like Valve said regarding CS:GO.... 32-bit Windows + Mac users were less than 1% of their player base so they dropped CS2 support for Mac.

Microsoft likewise has similar stats to go by.

Unless you can convince Mac users to start gaming outside of App Store iOS-like games... or convince Apple to actually f#cking support OpenGL and Vulkan on their desktop OS, this is the way.
