That looks great - More of a net book style rather than a tablet, which I like 
I guess the stylus is there for more precise input, such as Hand Writing... You can't use fingers for everything you know

And if the headline had read "Mockup of Upcoming Apple Tablet", and it had a little white apple logo somewhere on it, would you suddenly love it?
Come on, let's judge a product by how good it really is (or has potential to be, in the case of mockups and prototypes), not by the name on the sticker.
The hate I have for Microsoft is reserved for the times when they blatantly copy, cheat, steal, or generally make clueless decisions (squirting my music? huh?) This mockup suggests none of those things.
Personally, I think it looks like a great idea... and it's almost exactly what I'd be looking for in a tablet.
Now, the fact that it's made by MS gives me some doubts, but I'm sure Apple will have a good answer.
On the other hand, if the software is stable, the price is good, and it has some sort of OS X compatibility, I might just pick myself up one when they come out.

Looks nice. Don't know about it's functionality, or how I would use it day-to-day. Sort of a gadget that would be nice for a while and then would end up collecting dust. I don't see this device as being a major seller for Microsoft.
agreed, i just dont get the use of this. We can have a digital agenda? I cant see it replacing a computer at all, i type much faster than i can write.

I love how the demo video starts with Google Maps! So Microsoft is going to phase out Bing in favor of Google?
Not way in hell this is an actual demo/prototype from Microsoft itself. At best, it's just an artist's concept drawing based on some loose descriptions.

I'm still holding out for those Microsoft Oxygen / Carbon concepts from a while back... those were sleek

This does look like a cool technology. But the need for the stylus seems a bit too archaic these days. But, I'm sure they will have a nice pop-up keyboard for people like me who lose their styli.
