You have not elaborated how my points are BS, or how the surface duo has any redeeming qualities even. I doubt you can even.
Your posts are based on your feelings and what you’ve read.
The points you made are not based on your experience. They are based on your supposition yes?

As is every other post here. Did I touch a nerve somewhere?
You again are deflecting.
Are your posts based on supposition?
It’s simple. Yes or no. The answer requires no supposition or whataboutism or trying to belittle someone.

It's amazing the lack of awareness some people have around Apple products.
One of the things I hear most from Apple fans is how buggy Android is, (which I disagree with - I have used Android for a few years and whist I didn't like it I didn't find it buggy at all).
Now at the same time as saying Android is, "buggy as hell", they say that Apple releases regular updates. If you look you'll see reasonable number of feature additions in these updates but look at the length of the list of bug fixes...........

Hilarious.

I am using facts to back up an opinion. If you disagree with what I have to say, you are welcome to make your own argument as well. That’s what this forum is for.

I disagree with plenty of people here all the time. I don’t go about trying to discredit their arguments with “do you even own said product?” I attack the argument, not the person.

Else, that you are evidently coming for me and only me, speaks volumes about what your real agenda is. It was never about supposition or whataboutitism, but simply about having nothing to refute my statements with.

I'm bored. I can say categorically, "I have no experience of this particular device". That is the open and honest way to describe my comments. Yours are devalued as you can't do that.

I can then point to others and suppose that it may be A, B, and C - with links to support, you didn't. You post just reeks of fanboyism.

Doesn’t make it wrong. You want to disprove it, make your own arguments, like everyone else on this forum is doing.

Like I said. I'm bored.
The fact that you can't admit what you said could at least be wrong is all I need to know. Again, regular bug fixes mean the software is buggy. That point seems to have been lost on you.
Have you ever extolled that one virtue of Apple software is regular updates?

Microsoft Surface Duo review: Hot mess

The Snapdragon 855 inside this thing was everywhere until late 2019, and while it's a good, solid chip, it's clear that it struggles to maintain a high frame rate when both screens are activated.
Microsoft's Chief Product Officer, Panos Panay, has repeatedly pushed back against labeling the Surface Duo a phone; it's a small Surface, he says. A book.
But how does the Duo perform as an actual phone? Well, for starters, it's awkward as hell to hold up to your ear because not only is it super wide, but it weighs 250 grams. The mono speaker gets pretty loud, but it's only on one side, so most content consumption should be done on the right display.

250 gams is about 0.55 lbs of weight, that is heavy for a phone. Definitely want to use earbuds if you are going to make a call with the Surface Duo.

Guaranteed software updates for at least 5 years. Which is more than can ever be provided for android.

MICROSOFT SURFACE DUO REVIEW: DOUBLE TROUBLES
But if you want to take a photo of somebody else, you have to rotate the other screen so it becomes a viewfinder. But when you try to do that, there’s a 50/50 chance the viewfinder will be on the wrong side. And getting it to the side is a literal exercise in frustration. You have to keep twisting and tapping the Duo until it figures it out. After all that work, the results are muddy, noisy, and in low light, they’re a mess. Plus, they arrive well after you hit the shutter button.

I would berate this camera on a $300 device. The Surface Duo costs $1,400.
If I have one complaint about the specs it’s that the Duo only has 6GB of RAM That’s plenty for your average Android phone, but it’s not enough to keep apps from closing sooner than I’d like in the background. It’s also not quite enough to reliably run two apps at once without one of them getting a hiccup — and the whole point of the Surface Duo is to run two apps at once.

I'm not sure I understand the fascination with a foldable device. Technology is always at its best when it's solving a very clear problem and I'm drawing a blank trying to think of what problem this solves. I mean, it's a great demo concept but I've never fully understood why people respond so positively to it. What am I missing?

And no, this is not an anti-Microsoft/Samsung thing. If Apple were to announce such a thing tomorrow, I'd still shrug and ask the same question.

I like the concept. Still needs another generation or two along with some refinements. For 1,400 dollars I would just deal with two devices instead.
